Which title is which in what continuity? I'm very confused about this. I'm just getting back into comic book and I've heard that Batman is currently missing. My curiosity caused me to pick up Batman #655.

After Infinite Crisis the whole of the DC Universe skipped a year and went into the One Year Later titles. The Batman One Year Later story went through 4 issues of the Batman title and 4 issues of the Detective Comics title. The new Batman and Detective Comics stories are after the One Year Later story. The 'Batman is missing' thing will be a reference to what happened in the year that was skipped between Infinite Crisis and One Year Later, currently being told in "52" a weekly title detailing the missing year after the events of Infinite Crisis.

Basically, now is a great time to jump on board with the 2 Batman titles. Batman #665 is the start of a run by Grant Morrison and Detective Comics#821 is the start of a buunch of one-off Batman stories, concentrating more on the detective aspect of Batman's character.

Hope this helps.

Yea! I loved how Joker caught it in the face! It was a pretty intense moment, and the artwork was done pretty well. I'm picking up JLA and Batman, but only one of those titles. I'm gonna have to look into the whole 'Infinite Crisis' thing on Wiki. Thanks for the help and info.
