Quick question about Steel

I notice from another thread on this site that Steel (John Irons) is Steel 3 and Natasha Irons is Steel 4, Could anyone fill me in about Steel 1 and 2 please.

They were two spnadex fighters that wore red white and blue, Steel 2 was in the Detroit JLA Steel 1 had a miniseries and was in the ASS.

To be a bit more specific;

Steel 1 was Hank Heywood. He fought in WW2 alongside the All-Star Squadron. At one point his name was changed to Commander Steel. He died battling Eclipso.

Steel 2 was Hank Heywood 3rd. He is the grandson of Commander Steel. In the years after WW2, Commander Steel became an industrialist and forced his grandson to become the new Steel. This caused friction between the two and they even fought one another. Steel 2 was a member of the JLA during the Detroit years. He was later seriously wounded battling Professor Ivo. He was apparently put on life-support but finally died when he attacked by Despero.

Steel 2 appears in the JLU cartoon. He's featured rather promently in the final episode.

Also Steel I was nearly indistructible due to steel construction and bioretardant skin and possessed enhanced strength and speed. He first appearence was Steel #1 first series in March 1978. He had artificial lungs and steel tubing instead of bones. but he also had a silly fin on his head.

Steel II's bones were replaced with titantinium, micro-motors and servomechanisms enhanced his musclulature. subdermal plastisteel mesh lining a fibroplast skin made him nearly invulnerable and cybernetic implants augumented his visual and auditory senses.
