A long time ago, I remember seeing a comic book or magazine that showed Batman and Superman meet each other , well rather they cross each others path in the Snowy mountains of Tibet. Would anyone know where this happened in? a comic book or a wizard article perhaps? Thanks in advance anyone.

Superman: The Odyssey
Written by Chuck Dixon, it was about young Clark after Smallville but before he chose to be a journalist and Superman. He ends up studying at this Temple in Bhutran (this place near China) and when he first gets there he sees this guy in black leaving. It's Bruce. That's his only appearance, but the head monk guy talks about his "talented but tormented American student" when Clark asks.

It was a one-shot.

If you want to go way back, there was a whole series of stories in the original Superboy series back in either the late '60's or early '70's. (I think prior to issue 200) I don't remember anything about them (although I would reckon Capt. Jim probably would), just that they exist. I mention it just for the sake of completeness.

Yeah, I remember this one; it came out not long before Berganza took over the main Super-books. Not to spoil too much for those who haven't read it, it had a nice little non-"LL" Superman romance in it, too.

I don't remember anything about a whole series--that doesn't really sound right. But there was a Superboy tale way back where young Clark and Bruce met. As I recall, young Bruce even adopted a masked identity as the "Flying Fox," which was later explained to be another term for a bat.

That was the Pre-Crisis meeting of Superman and Batman.

Since it happened in the early 1960's, I thought that pretty much went without saying. ;)

There was a special issue (World's Finest) #200 or something like that reprinted all the 'first' meetings of Superman and Batman (within a story I think) back to when they were teen-agers and Bruce was deducing who Superboy to meeting each other in their civilian identities on a cruise ship.

Check Superman/Batman Secret files 2003. Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale did this story called "When Clark met Bruce". ;) :D

I think your right, Jim. I suppose my memory "expanded" the story into a series. I might have also had the "super-sons" somewhere in my subconscious, which did have an ongoing life, I was merging the two. Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, I was actually wondering if that might have been the case.

I think it was 271, and a book really worth picking up for a cool Perez cover and neat art by... aw, damn, can't remember... Oh yeah, Rich Buckler!
Classic stuff!
