i forsee marvel making some conflicts here and there until the storm/black panther connection wears off.

if they stay married for a while, either wolverine, forge or whomever will come up time and time again as a love-threat. i'd go with wolverine, personally.

And yes, there was. Just read Storm: Arena. It's all covered in there. As well is in that Uncanny X-Men Annual where Storm's greatest desire was to be with Yukio. ;)

I read Storm the arena just a few days ago, along with Claremont's responses to these questions....when he says they had a relationship, they will have had one....anything else is pure speculation and off panel guess, must like the current relationship that storm is in...the one you don't like...

She was just jealous of Stevie Hunter because Storm thought of Kitty as her actual daughter and didn't want to share her with anyone, even Kitty's own mother. You can say she was a waaayyy overprotected mother figure to Kitty and was also a very jealous one.

And really, that's not right to start that kind of stuff about them since Storm was 20-25 years old and Kitty was just 13-14 years old at that time. I very much doubt Storm has had any kind of romantic feelings for Kitty, ever.

I think I've heard of that being the case. But hey, when Black Panther is canceled, any author can break up that marriage quiet easily. I think we just have to be a bit patient and just pray there are no children to complicate matters. Then again, killing off children isn't a taboo I'm aware of. Lets just get the current New X-men team on the case. That seems to be one of their specialities.

We'd be willing to give it a chance, if the marriage was being written by someone who knew how to write realistic African characters. Just being a black writer doesn't make you the perfect person to write black characters. Especially in the case of Hudlin, who's work is loaded with stereotypical depictions of black people, way more so than the white writers who have written BP from his first appearance. Even Priest didn't mangle BP's character and history like this. And I find her still being in love with him highly unlikely, given that she even outright stated in X-Men #60 that there was never anything serious between them.

Darling, who is in character anymore? Cuase if that we're the case, Scott wouldn't be with Emma right now, wolvie wouldn't be an avenger, and so on. Storm may not be acting like she always does, but Hudlin gets a few good character moments for her.

Storm seems to be too uptight and one man woman to be with anytone else in a certain relationship. Besides the Marvel writers don't know what to do with her yet. Bring her back to the X-men full time? Or leave her in Wakanda? No one can really nail that character and really make her shine like in the past. She almost seems like an afterthought in the Astonishing X-men. So I say why bother? If you're not going to use the goddess appropriately? Then what's the point? Now she has a limited series, that she fights none other than(see the reviews for the answer) and it all seems dated and lame. Give her....her edge back, and then you'll see a character jump off the page again.
