What if Petra, Sway, Darwin, and Vulcan had made it out of the Krakoa incident and had been a part of regular X-Men continuity? How would alternate futures such as DoFP and AOA be effected? Would Vulcan be part of the Summers Prelate Faction run by Sinister in the AOA? Would Petra, Sway, and Darwin join other X-teams? Remember, im not asking whether or not you like this team, just what would be different...

With larger group the Professor might have asked Wolvie and Thunderbird to leave. They were difficult to deal with and impulsive, so why would he bother if he didn't really have to?

Some of the old schoolers might have stuck around too, Iceman in particular what with two new pretty ladies in the house. I don't know if the Prof would have kept Darwin or Sway on teams for that matter, he might have just wanted to train them but not have them active for a while. With the need less great, Storm might have gone back to Africa.

So many possibilities...

There is always a problem when you try to introduce extremely powerful characters into the past. It makes you wonder where they all were during AoA. I mean sure they could have all been killed, but many much weaker mutants made it out alive. But I think this would make an interesting "What if" series, maybe Brubaker will write it one day.
I would imagin had they all made it out and saved the X-Men there are 2 things that could have happened.
1. Petra, Sway Darwin, and Vulcan all form there own United Kingdom based team with Moira as Headmaster. The team would continually become over confident as time goes on, because of there sucessful mission saving the X-Men.
1. They all join the X-Men, Cyclops would still be the leader. Havok, having found out that Vulcan is his younger brother, would feel more connected to the X-men and a sense of responsablity to watching over his kid brother. The Phoenix would have came to Vulcan instead of Jean Grey, and Vulcan would have been suduced by Emma Frost during the Dark Phoenix, but would have ended up killing Emma for trying to control him.
Eventually Cyclops and Jean Grey would have gotten married and retired from the X-Men. Professor X would have made Vulcan the new team leader(since he had been training him to be).

Doesn't he still have the mind of a child? I don't see him having a relationship with anybody aside from a mother-son type thing but I can't think of anyone who could fill that role.

Ummmm well Thudnerbird wouldn't die which would screw up Warpath later down the road. Wolvie wouldn't have been brought in by Chuck and could still be a feral kiling machine. Who knows without the X-men Wolvie could have been dead by now if he was on a road to self destruction when Xavier found him. Mr. Sinsiter would have been obessesed with Vulcan instead of Cyke all these years as he's more powerfull by far. Storm may never have left Africa, and Nightcrawler Germany. Collassus would be a master artist in Russia. Shadowcat would hook up with Darwin then of course. And we wouldnt have our current arc in Uncanny!
