Just finished reading last week's issue of BOP--awesome. But my only exposure to Black Alice is from what I assume is her initial appearance in the Day of Vengeance miniseries.

Can someone educate me as to which back issues to seek out for her full story, especially any previous tangles she's had with the Birds? I'd like to get the backstory to flesh out this arc more for me.

The First chapter of "Hero Hunters" arc. Bop #76. That´s all the Black Alice I´ve seen within Bop continuity.

I read BoP in trade, so I'm not sure what issue I'm up to. Is #76 a recent issue, or does it date back to/predate DoV?

Birds of Prey #76 was Black Alice's first appearance. It pre-dates Day of Vengeance.

And according to DC Nation @ WizardWorld Chicago, Black Alice is getting her own one-shot special soon... :)

Nice! I will definately be looking into that. I can't really say why, but the character really appeals to me.

Perhaps. Bear in mind, however, that I've only actually encountered her in 'Villains United' and Wikipedia. :o

For those of you who aren't able to find BoP #76 (which, as Fenix says, is Black Alice's first appearance), it will be included in the next BoP TPB, The Battle Within, which is due out in September. That TPB will collect two arcs -- "Hero Hunters" and "The Battle Within" -- and contains some of my all-time favorite Birds stuff!

And yeah, Black Alice RULES. She was okay in DoV, but you've really got to read her as written by Gail Simone to get the full experience. :evilsmile

I... WOULD deny it... but my last date? Black clothes, tattoos, facial piercings. Mm-hmmmm. ;)

Holy crap! I bought that issue of BoP today for the Black Alice appearance. Freakin' loved it. If I enjoy the next issue or two as much, I'll be officially hooked. :D

I'm glad to hear it! In my opinion, BoP is the best book being published right now.

I bought my second ever issue of BoP today along with Brave New World Teen Titans #12 and The Alias Omnibus. I bought it because of the batgirl appearance.

God help me am I the only one who couldn't help but picture babs cyber doing it with ted. so so naughty.
