Come up with one of your own if you like, post it and let others post their predictions for it.

1.) What will the children of Storm and T'Challa be like?

One of the kids would probably be a disciplined child with a bit of a rebellious side. Trying to live up to his/her parents expectations, but trying to establish their own identity.

like a lot of kids....;)

You guys are rich. :) With humor i'd assume.

I wonder if they'd be mutants and if so would their powers be exact copies of their moms?

Ret-conned.

oh, wait. Someone already said that. Okay, then. How about this:

Hopefully ret-conned. That Thalidomide stuff was pretty nasty, but I still think it would be cool if their child had flippers for feet (but not as a mutant), and then sent into the future and would come back before he was even sent into the future (like Cable was, much to Mr. Liefeld's rightful protests) armed with a pimp cane the size of Idaho, but only because Hudlin seems to be using a lot of African American stereotypes of the like we see on MTV, which is out of character for both Storm and the Black Panther. And then ret-conned.

Why does Ororo like G-Unit and 50 Cent all of a sudden?

So, because they are black characters they can't like black artists or even be attracted to each other?

People say that it's being forced, but so would a relationship be forced with forge which hasn't really been touched on since 1993.

What's wrong with getting back with your first love...which they pretty much hinted at way back in the Marvel Team up.

Give some thought to it before you judge. I read BP 18, and while it wasn't the greatest, there we're lots of great moments.

Blacks, we dont' try to tear down our legends, we love to show them respect for the ground they pave for us. And Reggie did that in this issue. No other minority has ever had to endure the kind of discrimination we have. Sure, gays have it hard now, but they we're never made slaves. They weren't hung for drinking in the wrong fountains.

The problem with it is that Storm has never, ever acted this way before, and it doesn't make sense for her to all of a sudden act a certain way just because that is one writer's vision. Not to mention it also makes Ororo look less intelligent than she always has been.

As for the first love thing, that story was resolved, and in one issue to boot. It was established pretty clearly that it would never work between them, and they went their separate ways. Why would Marvel want to open up a closed wound, or a resolved story? That's silly. It's like putting Xavier and Moira togther. They're done. It's like putting Scott and Madelyne together. They're done. It's like putting Rachel and Franklin together. They're done. Bobby and Zelda. Done. Jean and Ted Roberts. Done. Resolved. Finished. That's all, folks. Why rehash a finished storyline? Claremont left absolutely no danglers in that story (which I must say, is something he doesn't do often). If there are no unresolved plotlines, then why cling to it? Marvel seems to be taking resolved stories and making something out of them that disrespects the original story. They can't seem to find any new and original ideas without clinging to the past.

And the Forge / Storm relationship eventually recieved the editorial axe (if Lobdell and co. actually even intended on continuing their relationship to begin with, despite the eerie direction Claremont was taking it in after Destiny's death) because for some reason, they wanted to put Ororo together with Cable, which of course never even happened anyway.

Ummm, sometimes love works in mysterious ways. It IS possible to fall in love with and old lover all over again. Storm and Black Panther couldn't be together all those years ago, but now they have rekindled their love and have found a way. While I do think Marvel over-hyped their wedding, I think their new relationship was handled very well. I read the issues and I didn't find them forced or anything. If anything, I found them sweet and romantic. The proposal was very cute.

And as for Ororo not acting like herself- people sometimes act differently when they are in love. Case closed.

I get what you're saying, and your entitled to your opinion, but you should know that sometimes love can be rekindled after many years. It happens in the real world, and it can certainly happen in a comic book.

Love makes you act funny. She never acted like she did before when she first lost her powers in Lifedeath.

You're too young to know about love right now, but when you fall in love with someone it doesn't just turn off like that, even if you end on bad terms, you still love them to a certain degree.

And for those examples, you could say it was just that they weren't really in love, because you can be in a relationship with someone, and love them, and not be in love. I know I still have strong feelings for everyone I fell in love with.

edit. Kyle, we are soulmates I think, we are soo on the same wavelength, it's not even funny.

It's funny. Wednesday I told a guy on my job about a problem with a relationship I had with a girl a few years ago that left me really F*** up in the head. (Mostly because it never started but should have.) and he laid his pimp knowledge on me.. it cleared up 3 years of angst... Do you wanna know what it boiled down to? Women are fickle! Storm is no different.

[COLOR="Magenta"]Sure, gays have it hard now, but they we're never made slaves.

I am generally offended by this statement, unless its followed by some sort of explanation. You are aware that black people were not the only ones turned into slaves? I realize it is part of your cultural identity, but you need to recognize that its one you share with others not of your race that sometimes gets marginalized because of popular history.

Thousands of Native Americans were forced into slavery across several tribes and were almost totally devastated by the Europeans and Spanish. And yes, those same Native Americans toiled under inhumane conditions right alongside Africans.

Large numbers of Chinese were sold into prostitution in America as well.

America is not made up of black and white. We are a nation of many colors.

Homosexuals might never have been enslaved, but they certainly have been killed - and not just for drinking from the wrong water fountain, but something as basic as who they were sexually attracted to. But you wanna play the 'who's the most oppressed' game, I'll tell you right now, it's not blacks, gays, native Americans, Jews, or any minority. It's women. Even in the so-called educated world we live in, women still do not have equal rights and are treated as though they don't know what's best for their own bodies; portrayal of the female form is regarded as offensive, especially in America (cf Nipplegate). In other parts of the world, the things that are done to female children are downright horrific.

But this thread was actually about the kids of Storm and her retcon lover. I'd like to think one of them would maybe have the mutant power one of Storm's conceptual 'parents' had and shapeshift into a cat. That kid would be the perfect heir to the Black Panther.

Less intelligent? Do you realize how offensive you are being... She looks different in the X-book too.

Please talk about that...

I agree...

True, but you need to really read up on some history. No group has been marginalized like Africans in America (inside america), that is a fact. You can hide the fact that you are gay... and Native Americans faced inhumane conditions, true...but they also got treaties... Africans got Jim Crow.

I see what you are saying... but you need to also watch how you are marginalizing Africans and our greatest sin.

When you look at comics... and the way some people post, it is REALLY, REALLY offensive.

Most AA, don't complain about other heroes of the same race, dating or getting married. Is it that bad? I mean what is the problem? How many ‘Black’ characters of any significance are married? How many ‘Black’ superheroes are married to each other…Why is it that bad to have a powerful African male hero without the writer being called racist? Why is it that black superheroes acting like superheroes offends some fans? Does that make sense?

How many African American mutants are there in the X-titles that have not been killed (Darwin, who you can not tell what he is, M?)…Coming from a comic book based on and influenced by the civil rights movement and the struggles of African Americans? How many Black characters are just killed…or are just second fiddle, never Omega level or powerful? Yet AA comic book readers still read comics... and these are the same reason a lot of AA don't read comics. This thread is the perfect example of why.

I love Wolverine, yet he is a total recon, from simple brusier to super-near immortal Samurai ... yet Storm and BP relationship recon is looked down upon, because it is a recon?

The logic is off. I’m sorry. That is not directed all to you, but just in general.

Anyhow, the on to the original question…

I think they would be twins… both with Storm features, mutant powers similar to Storm and the powers of the Black Panther.

Well could it be possible at all that Becka Munroe from the GeNEXT series could be Storm and BP's daughter?

I'd like to think their daughter would be a little more refined, even slightly haughty like Monet. After all, she'd be the child of a King and Queen, powerful in their own rights, while the latter of which refers to herself as a Goddess.

How could you not develop an ego? hehe.
