Some tools to get in my opinion:
Sable Brush (various sizes)
Quill pen nibs
magic rub erasers
Black India Ink (black magic is good)
Assorted Angles and French Curves with inking edges
T-Square and/or Parallel Bar
The best book for inking in my opinion "DC guide to inking"
As for the experiance, yes long nights, very fun, it is very hard but well worth it, I would rather do nothing else!!
I hope this helps!! If you dont mind and have the time, you can check out this little preview we just posted to see some final work, we would love to hear what you think of it!! http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=136627

Sure, I can send you some high res samples to practice on, it may take me a while to get them ready but I can hook you up. As far as where you can get them I recommend Kuberts Cartoon Depot http://www.kubertsworld.com/depot/depot0666.html
As for paper, I would recommend EON Art Boards http://www.eonprod.com/
I hope this helps and I will get you some samples as soon as possible. Thanks again for looking at the sample post!!

Its because it is 11X17 Bristol Board. As for the comic shop, you can talk to the people there and tell them you are interested in it and give them my email and we can let them order some copies to sell in their store. Just let me know if that works for you!
