Hi,

Being a little "art oriented" myself, i usually choose my books because of the artist not so much because of the plot itself (doesn't mean i don't like to read good, solid story.) and, unfortunately, sometimes i come across some a not so good artist (at least in my humble opinion) and dream of having some top-penciler working in the X Titles! I really like Bachalo and he's in my A list, but here are some more names that i think are the best of the best (my opinion again), and would like to see an X-Men issue drawn by them:

Mike Mignola - the best!
Adam Hughes - Too bad this guy is not fast enough to draw a monthly title, he´s just breathtaking!!
Travis Charest - Same as above!
Marc Silvestri - Responsible for one of the best X-Men phases. Would love to see him back as a regular...
Joe Madureira - I love his work, and he gets better as the years go by!
John Romita Jr. - I would love to see him again in X-Men! He's responsable for some of the best X-Men issues!
Oliver Coipel - What a nice surprise!! Watched a few issues of the Avengers and he got me hooked!
Jim Lee - One of the best...

This guys are the best in my opinion... and would love to see them in the X pages! What's your opinion? Care to add any other guy? Thanks...

Cheers!

I would like to see Adrian Alphona pencil a few issues of New X-Men or a book on the same vein as NYX.

Ethan Van Sciver [Green Lantern: Rebirth]

Alex Ross (they should give him a story to do like "Justice" for DC)

Steve McNiven, while at certain times i'm not nuts about him, is actually very strong when it comes to action scenes. (Check out New Avengers: Sentry, the fight with the wrecker in particular!)

Jim Lee would be nice, but don't imagine him ever doing anything Marvel again.

I could see Joe Mad doin' it again.

And perhaps...one day...by the grace of God...ME. (Trust me--i'm really workin' on it!)

I would love it if Michael Turner pencilled an X-Men story. It would probably take years to complete, but it would still be nice.

I'd also enjoy seeing J. Scott Campbell pencil a title.

I loved his x-factor more than any single issue of his Uncanny run.

Paul Pope(write and pencil)- his very unique and creepy style might be a shot in the arm that the X-Men need.

I thought of another artist I'd like to see- Ed Benes!

I loved his run on Gen13, and I might even by an issue or two of the new JLA (which I have never read) just so I can see his pencils.

There are actually sketches of his on the internet of him pencilling various X-Men, and they look hot.

Just check these out:

That's the thing that's the biggest turn off with him, is that he is soo slow. Just get a fill in artist, instead of waiting 6 months to get 1 job done or step his game up.

I would love to see an Ed Benes version of the X-Men. He's done some great work over at DC, and is about to put his stamp on the Justice League. I've seen some of his work over on DA, and there's this one pic of Wolverine that he did that just blew me away.
Also, Steve McNiven is a good choice too, and we've seen some of what he can do in New Avengers as well as Civil War with the X-Men. I would put him on a X-Men book in a heartbeat.

I would love to see a Adam Warren take on New X-Men. And Adam Hughes.

Jim Lee-I would love to see his valiant return since he's my favorite penciler.

Michael Turner-I love this guys style, would love to see him on an X-book.

Frank Cho-Cho owns, would be fabulous to have him on an X-book, but I'll be gettin my Cho fix on Mighty Avengers, so I won't complain.

Marc Silvestri-I would also like to see his return, his "Here Comes Tomorrow" arc was beautiful and I would love to see more (his recent covers have been less than stellar, but I'm guessing its because he knocked them out fast since he has been penciling a Top Cow title regularly too, so I'll forgive the man).

Greg Land-the man's work is awe inspiring and so realistic, he just needs to stop using the same frigging references, the same poses over and over gets stale, he's been doing this long enough, he should be able to create on his own and still make it real looking.

Ed Benes-I've seen a good amount of his work (including X-characters he's done) and its all kickass, he would be great on an X-book, but I have him in JLA so I'm not complaining yet.

Honorable mentions:

John Cassaday-he's already on an X-book for a little while longer at least, I just wish it would remain longer than whats expected.

David Finch-his style is great and he's really developing as an artist, but he has found his nitch w/ the dark and violent Moon Knight. I say leave him there til he dies or some dumb writer screws up what Moench did and Huston is doing.

Well, Land doesn't just use a lightbox, he uses references and just freehands too. I think he's talented enough to do his own thing w/o the references though, he just needs to freakin try it! I wouldn't mind a slight style change if he actually started creating things himself, he's had enough experience, he would be able to keep things realistic but original.

Seriously, Ed Benes is awesome. His art is quite good- I loved his run on Gen13. His girls are beautiful, and his men are pretty good lucking too.

The best part is that he seems to be able to stay on schedule. His Gen13 shipped every month, and hopefully so will his upcoming JLA. The only problem is that I don't read DC comics, so he should quit that job and come pencil X-Men for me. :D

I don't like Romita Jr. too much. Lately he's pretty tolerable but I hate switching between Lee, Silvestri, and Romita in my favorite era, the Wilderness era. Love the first two, not sure about the third.

That was back then, though. Wolverine's arc and Eternals was kind of fun. He needs a good colorist/inker, that's all.
