This little thread is for my original story Power of Fury, Tears of Sorrow. I'll put all the little details here. Info about some of the things, people and places(chars to). Side note, the actual story takes place in normal modern times.

Nalzara/HalzaraTime Line, Places And Characters

Year 306-Humble Origins: In the beginning their were many other sentient beings besides that of humans that co-existed along with them when humans were above above a common animal in status. One of these beings were the Elves-usually fair skinned people that had a natural liking towards nature and were generally peaceful. Another were Dwarfs short but strong and hearty people that had a natural liking towards stone so they choose their home in the moutains. The Dwarfs were closely related to another race of even shorter people known as Gnomes which liked to tinker with things having to do with "Technology" as they called it. Their were even races that originated from the sea, the most famous of the aquatic species being Mermaids/Men. Their was another race that was known for their cunning and power-demons they wer called. Some had human apperance, and those were generally far more powerful and intelligent then their monster counter parts. Though given a bad rep, demons generally kept to themselves-the humanoid races of them atleast and interacted with the other races rarely. During this peroid was when all of the races were in their infant stages, and were building an identity and culture for themselves, except for the lesser races such as Orcs who limited brain power slowed progress of any type of civilization.

Year 450-The Racial Divide: Around this time, most of the races were about now were just getting on their feet. It was a peroid of trial and error as they fumbled to grasp the finer points of being organized. The Elves and Humanoid Demon races far surpassed the others except for the races living in the sea. Dwarfs kept to their own kind and spent most of their time in their moutains, never going out unless they had to. Orces and Ogre's remained the same, only having small settlements, crude weapons they couldn't really be called a civilization or even a unified group. Because of this, demons easily drove them off being far more powerful and smart, claming their ancient lush home lands for themselves. In these lands that once belonged to Orcs and Ogre's were historians beleived were some of the first true Demon Over Lords rose to power. In Elven lands, their were a steady growing attention as small groups began to have problems with one another. This lead to a split in their race as the factions left. One made a home in the snowy moutains, another made a home near water, another one underground-giving them darker skin then their cousins. The last one made their place in the desert, it seemed that was a foolish idea but it was rather ingenious. Their were no natives their, except for the giants and the hardy race of desert dwellers called Arlains. They used Ancient magic to make a lush forest in the middle of the sea of sand, hidden from view. This lead to diffrent races of Elves, and the ones in that area became known as Desert Elves. The original ones stayed, having drove off others who they deemed "Impure" in thought or motives. The original ones werec called High Elves-they had no tolerance for evil races and good or decent ones were mearly tolerated. They closed themselves off so not much else is known about this peroid.

Year 745-Evolution Of Power, Arrival of the Alusarians: Having many years to get used to the world around them(Which was thirty times bigger then that of earths) The races began to slowly but reluctantly attempt to form alliances with one another but were extremely tense and weary. Humans were and still are one of the more common races due to the fact they spread so quickly more so then almost any other. The Demon Lords finally began to interact with the other races, trying to get rid of the negative image most people had on their kind. Desert Elves stayed in their home but were still freindly, they simply didn't go to the outside world to much. The original Elves, the High Elves were nortoriously known for their unbendable views, customs and tradtions as well as their huge ego's. They didn't trust the demons and looked for any chance as to call war on them, regardless if it was their monster-counter parts. Also by this time Mermaids and Men had evolved to the point they could change between their original forms and legs, allowing them to live on land if they wished. Most still had a hostility toward any race living on the land, and the Queen at the time urged them to "Leave the disgusting two-legged ground walkers alone". Some stayed with in their ancient home while others began to explore the dry lands, sometimes even establishing cities near water.

Year 923-The Life Song and the Seraphim: Their was a large amount of progession to all civilizations as this time, except for Ogre's and Orcs who fought among each other and were kicked out of one land from the next. Until they claimed a disgusting rotting island which none wanted to be apart of, except for the less powerful and intellgient monster-type demons which they could deal with. The humans had made remarkbale progess in their own towns and cities, despite still be considered one of the weakest races of Nalzara, though freindly if not a bit prideful. High Elves had progressed rapidly as well, wanting to show up the other races and not be left behind. Gnomes had become popular for their inventions which helped increase the level of civilization of all races even if they didn't actively trade with them. Mer people had built beautiful cities which could stand on top the water or sink under since they could still breath under water. The Desert Elves progressed the very least out of the races, but they were having problems of their own. During that time, for what ever reason both their males and females had become almost completely sterile. When this was going on, a Seraphim and a group of Angels were casted out for one reason or another from the deity they served. They to had the same problem as the Desert Elves, except theirs were worse-both genders belonging to the Angel race were completely barren. The small casted out Angels befriended them and together they came up with a plan. They would cast a spell which would later be known as the Life Song, which would make them both more fertile and increase the healthy and beauty of their magically enchanted forest. Using a bit of Angelic and Elvish magic, they managed to make it work. Soon after the Seraphim Norphues and his group made a city of their own known as Blight City. They didn't seclude themselves though and are usually seen around Nalzara as well.

Year 1234-The First "God Slayers": Nalzara was starting to finally become a truly unique place of its own, but powerful Gods saw the place and wanted to "Properly direct" each races destiny and future. They were displeased with the way things were going, civilization was advancing Far to fast. Eventually, many of their followers would stop beliving in them and they didn't want that. In this year the first real cities were formed-looking very much like modern times except for key diffrences. Alot of the area was a pretty nice place to live, but since it was simply so big, their were still many places tha were alot like back in the Old Days. The Gods struck out at the "Sinners"-the ones they deemed tainted because of their rapid progress. Many cities were destroyed in this peroid, effectively sending back decades. Their rampage were stopped by a group of powerful beings known as Godslayers, counter parts to gods who kept them in line if they tampered with life to much. They managed to beat back the Gods, though most of the landscape on the planet now has pernament huge scars, its said a new ocean was formed in one battle from a crater. Knowing when to cut their losses, the Gods backed off for a while and the Godslayers did as well, as silent and unknown protectors of those who needed it.

Year 1456-"Birth of Azarath, Destroyer of Worlds": The world had taken quite a blow and the races once again had to rebuild themselves, except for Desert Elves, Dragons, and Angels which weren't targeted by the gods because their lack of progression among other things. Godslayers blended in with the other races trying to help them start over once again as best as they could. The Gods had finally come with a bitter but slow respect for the Godslayers and the "Lesser" races that lived in Nalzara, so they resigned and became spectators no longer tampering with the life of the people anymore. In the Godslayer realm, a child was born with something wrong or atleast something they thought was wrong. Her aura was increadibly powerful and came off in waves, even at birth. At the same time it was deeply twisted and corrupted somehow, it was simply dark. The child was given a chance but others shunned her, even her parents wanted nothing to do with her. This along with other things twisted her heart, making it worse would it might have gotten better. In ignoreing her and treating her badly they created the very thing they feared: A powerful monster born of their own kind. Azarath went on a rampage with a frightening amount of power, taking the whole land of Nalzara. She was to powerful to be beaten directly so they simply sealed her soul to another body. She was supposed to be recarnated in another demension as a normal human child, but fate seemed to have other ideas. This child was reborn into another little girl named Alice, a gentle soul and the counter part and other half of Azarath. Because of this, the Godslayers didn't want a repeat so they sealed themselves away becoming pratically emotionless beings since emotions is the very source of their might.

(Still adding, to long to put it in one post)

Continued, this is a pain.

Year 1679- "The Demon Lord Balza, Lord of Pain and Fear: After the tragic events with Azarath and the dissperance of the Godslayers, Nalzara expereinced a very long peace for a time. Not everyone could forget the hard times though humans being short-lived didn't remember as well as the other races. Some of them tried to rebuild what was lost or push onwards in the civilization race, while others were happy were they were at or went back to their roots. A student of a famous magical temple unwittingly unleashed a portal from the Shadow Plane. From that portal arrived a powerful evil which only next to Azarath paled in comparison to all their other trials. A Demon Over Lord known as Balza, Lord of Pain and Fear set his eye on making this place his home. He himself and his forces entered the world plundering and destroying place after place. Eventually, all the native races even the demons of Nalzara had to band together in a war that lasted Neary a hundred years. Balza wasn't defeated but rather sealed in a 'Nexus' which hidden until they can find a way to pernamently destroy him.

Current Peroid, Year 1956: Nalzara is very war-torn and many scars of past epic battles still remain here and their. The races have finally gained some level of tolerance of one another-even if them nearly being wiped out had to do that. Though elder Elves and sages know it won't last long, something else is stirring and ready to rise. But this time, it won't just involve Nalzara. It will involve the fate of almost every world.

Nalzara/Halzara Races, Important People & Places.

Race's of Nalzara/Halzara: Their are many races that roam the planet, because the fact its so large and can support vast amounts of life of all kinds. Down Below will give a small bit of info of each race. These are just some, their are many others but are usually alot lesser known then the ones listed. Nalzara and Halzara are the same planet actually, or were until the battle between God's and Godslayers ripped the large planet in two. However, one can travel between the two by special magical passage ways that still bind the soul of the land. Halzara is slightly more stable, and a bit more technological advanced then Nalzara. Ruins of modern-like cities are still seen on both sides however.

Dwarfs: Their pretty famous by most people, are known by most for their unbeatbale craftmanship of weapons of any kind. They are often sought after to create swords or armor because of their skill. All Dwarfs are short, but they make up for this by actually being phyiscally stronger then normal humans. Generally their a peaceful people who love a good drink and a story. Having incredibly large beards is a racial quirk of theirs, and Dwarf's men's taste in women, is often questionbale. They prefer women with hair on them and find the curves of human, Elves and other-like races to be boreing.( Its a Dwarf thing, please don't ask)

Humans: The most common and flexible race, they come in many sizes, shapes colors and various states of mental stability(or instability). They can be found almost anywhere. Really need more then that?

Elfs: This is actually a race type; down below is the four main race sub-type's.

High Elves: The original and most "Pure" of all the Elf races, or so they claim anyway. These were the original Elves, the ones were all other Elf races supposedly hail from if they trace back their ancestory long enough. They have large ego's and have reason's to. They are phyiscally the most beautiful race in both Halzara and Nalzara. Not to mention their civilization is way ahead of most of the other races, and some even copy some of their designs. They have enhanced phyical abilties because of the blood in their veins and besides the Desert Elves are the only ones that retained this ability. While most High Elves are a haughty bunch of a racial superioirty complex-their are exceptions. Mainly those who don't live with in the main Kingdoms.

Desert Elves: One of the most down to earth of the Elf races, and usually the most liked. As their name suggest, they do in fact live in the middle of the desert. They survive using magic to create a forest in a otherwise almost inhabiatable living space, creating a forest which is hidden from view. Most live in the Kingdom of Halzara itself; the main capital of the land. They however aren't above living and mingingly with other races, just as long as they aren't hostile towards them. Like the High Elves, they have enhanced phyical abilties. They have limited elemental control over fire, Ice, and wind as well. Usually tanned-colored because of the desert enviroment.

Dark Elves: Also known as Drow, they are the darkest skinned of all the Elf races. This is due to the fact that they lived under ground for generations. Their eyes are a bit sensetive to sun light, so they are rarely seen above the ground. Most race's are distrustful towards them anyway, so they rarely interact with the others. Like always though, their are exceptions.

Ice Elves: These are the Elves that went to live in the snowy moutains, which caused their skin to have a slightly blue hue to it. They are phyiscally the most weakest of the Elf races but make it up with their complete and utter control over ice. They can live in warm or hot climates, but they just find it highly uncomfortable so a lone Ice Elf off their icy home turf is extremely rare but not unheard of.

Demons: They are known as fiends, and many other names but really aren't that bad, the humanoid kind anyway. Their are two types of known demons, Monster-Type, which look like the standard demons( I.E. large horns, red skin). The other ones are humanoid, which could pass off for a human but some have strange quirks that set them apart. Generally, the humanoid type demons are more powerful and intellgient then their monster kind counter parts. Their are many races of both types and are almost as numerous as humans.

Apocalypse Demon: Not only one of the most powerful types of demons, but also one of the most powerful races. They get stronger with age each time one human year passes. They have higher phyiscal abilties then some and have control over Red Demonic Energy. They can also enter a state were their over all power doubles for a short time(They basically float one inch above the ground with red electricty sorrounding them). As they age and get stronger, and dormant abilties slowly began to appear later and old ones get increased gradually over time.

Mer People: Also known as Mermaids/Men. They can live both in or out of water thanks to their ability to make their old half turn to legs instead of a fish. Most are found in cities that literally stand on the water, and often times seek beneath the depeths. Most of them are pratically pacifist but now a days they will defend themselves more if the need arises. They have control over water and both male and females all have the ability to sing very well for some reason. All of their race are Empaths and have limited telepathic abilties they get once growing older. Because of this, scholars beleive this is were the "Siren" myth came from. Sailors most often heard the voices and were so distracted that they often crashed into stray rocks.

Angels: Most Angels live in the city in the sky Blight City. Not all live inside that place and quite a few live on the main lands of both Halzara and Nalzara. They are pretty strong, a large majority have the Ancient gene, which like the Apocalypse Demons allow them to become stronger with age. All native-born Angels have control over silver holy energy.

As I said, their are more. But these are the majority.

Places of Nalzara/Halzara: Down below I will list most of the main places of this realm.

Blight City: The main settlement for Angels, its a beautiful city in the sky that few get to visit. Current ruler is Norphues, Exon the next-in-line Seraphim lacks the power and over knowledge to be the next Seraphim/Leader.

Main Halzara/Nalzara Body: Both lands are rich with natural wonders that even the oldest of the old haven't seen before. Away from most civilizations is the main field for both places. Theirs nothing more then vast fields, forest among other things. Besides a few small villages scattered about, their isn't much in the way of resting normally so make sure your prepared.

Halzara Capital: This applies to any part of Queen Nanai's Kingdom of the Desert Elves. Its one of the most stable regions and peaceful. Theirs anything between cities, towns, ports you name it and they probably have it or something like it.

High Elf Domain: The vast majority of the High Elf's land. They aren't exactly the most friendly people and any non High Elves shouldn't go their unless they need to or have to.

Sea of Sorrow: A large ocean created from the war between God and Godslayers. It was once a large continent but sunk to the bottom and became a large sea. The city itself is at the bottom, rogue Mer people are said to have made their homes their. Sailors say that part of the ocean is haunted, and for good reason one should stay away from their.

Elsewhere: Anywhere I haven't listed.

City Ruins: Ruins of civilization's long past, its mearly rubble and debris. Its also known as the Forgotten Grounds. Poorer people usually come here and have established a semi-successful settlement. Its a bit shady, but its a good place to get things.

Important People. Leaders, famous warriors etc: In this lands history, their has been many people that have stood out and left their mark in some shape or form. Here are a few.

Norphues: Current Seraphim, and ruler of Blight City. He's generally kind but has alot of responsebility that keeps him busy. Once his son is ready, he will pass the title on to him.

Raltassa: One of the most stubborn rulers of the Mer people. She lives in their oldest and first capital Alterra, and is grudginly trying to expand with the times. Despite this, she is guinely a good person just a bit distrustful towards land-bound races but is learning.

Tabur: A young Arlain male that is trying to ease old racial wounds by going out and doing his part to help. Its a bit overwhelming for him to have so much responsebility but he takes it in stride.

Orian: Father of Emanulle, he's one of the few Apocalypse Demon Over Lords. He mostly stays out of politics, preferring not to get involved in it. Recently things have shifted and change with the last current events.

Queen Sayna & King Norias: They are both the current rulers of the High Elves, and haven't changed as much as the other races. They are almost unchanged for the most part, it may perhaps be their races own undoing, only time will tell

Nalzara/Halzara Races, & Places(Continued).

Extra Places/Races:(Continued)

Arlains: A race with a not so pretty past. In the begginning, they were much like most soceities with one gender being on the top and the other on the bottom. In this case, it was the males who were at the bottom and the females at the top. Arlains are a very phyiscally strong race easily many time stronger and faster then a human, and are natural fighters. They can take as much punishment as they can dish out, they also have a keen sense of smell and hearing. However, for what ever reason, females are often more powerful then the males. This caused a gender supperioity complex for a long time before. The females fought and did things while the males stayed inside, taking care of children and doing domestic work. This changed one day by mere chance in a war, all the females were called away. But enemy forces attacked their home turf, which caused the males to fight. It was the first time they really fought and it made them realize they weren't weak as they had been told. The person that lead them was a young Arlain male by the name of Creon Haihs. He became quite famous, but the female teachers tried to downplay how great he really was. Recently, they have finally settled into a place of new order. Its still not perfect but better then what they once were.

Dragons: Their are many diffrent types, races and colors of this race. Its also noted by scholars of diffrent races that the word "Dragon" by itself is just a race category. Over time, many large lizard-like creatures with broad powerful shoulders and wings have been called Dragons. All true native-Halzara/Nalzara Dragons have three common traits, Intellgience above or act a humans level, a breath weapon of some kind, and a humanoid form they shape-shift at will. Dragons are a rare race in both Halzara and Nalzara, and also the least one to progessed technology wise. But since Dragons have natural armor, it renders most weapons including standard guns useless. Because of this, Dragons have managed to cling to the old ways as their ancestors did, except for a hand few such as Lord Reifer and his faction. Their apperance, size, shape and abilties completely depends on the race of Dragon they fall under. Keep in mind that dragons still have a bit of their phyiscal abilties in human form usually.

Forest Spirits: Almost as rare as Dragons, Forest Spirits as their name suggest are protectors of the forest. They are large Golden Wolfs that are about six feet tall and anywhere from fourteen to eighteen feet in length. They have the ability to purify any water or soil no matter how pulluted it may be. They have high phyiscal abilties as well, as well as sharp sences(They are Wolfs after all). All Forest Spirits have the ability to take human shape if they desire, which explains why they are hybrids among humanoid races. Generally a mellow bunch, but are fiercely protective of their home and those who live their. In their prime when they get old enough, they have control over the elements as well as the ability to fly in their natural form. Highly senestive to anything involving nature or the natural order of things, if one gets a truly bad vibe-then its a bad omen. A Elder of their race had the same feeling right before Balza came into the world.

Political Terms and Organizations: Just terms and such as well as organizations and misc stuff. Keep in mind since Nalzara has a large history, some things no longer exist or have been disbanded.

High Knights(Organization/Political Term): In the old days when civilization was just getting on its feet these brave souls were quite a common sight. They were basically a group that were apart of the Kaze Empire which was mainly a human dominated, their cause was a noble one though. Knights in completely white armor with the symbol of a Dragon. They helped villages that were harassed and kept large bands of bandits, pirates and the like from getting to out of hand. They also protected people from monsters when they ran rampant.Over time, non-humans became apart of the ranks and their noble deeds spread. Humans of the High Knights had a special blood-line from a magic spell that made them many times stronger then normal. On the first battles with Balza and his forces, the Kaze Empire fell along with most of the High Knights. After that war, the empire was no more and they for a while made a come back working as free lancers of justice were ever they went. Sadly, the magic blood-line died years ago out rendering them ineffective agaisnt common threats. What use was a normal wielding a sword with against anyone with a fire arm? Most High Knights now are drunken, broken shells of what they once were scattered about both Halzara and Nalzara.

World Split(Political Term): Reference to Halzara being split into two, creating the other nearby world Nalzara.(See above on Time-Line for more information)

Anti Monster Corps(AKA A.M.C, Organization) They were formed shortly after the fall of the High Knights. They are basically like the police though their main job is to hunt and track monsters. They rely on their higher-tech weapons to deal with threats.

Magic Temple Conclave(Organization): A temple that teaches the mystical arts of magic to all those interested and quality. They are a highly respected group but are netural in most conflicts, the exception being the big battles which was for the sake of their entire world. The students of this place are incredibly strong with their magic, but have strict ethics for not abusing the power. With the kind of power they have, they can easily adapt and keep up with the times constantly changing.

Mana Spheres(Item): Small floating Orbs of bright color. They were created by magic and need it to sustain themselves. They can go with on for long peroids of time if their fed Nature Energy. They are used to build cities in the sky or make them float on the water which otherwise would have been impossible. After the fall of Kia, Blight City is the only known city in the sky. Its origin is shrouded in mystery and Elven and Angel scholars argue often on who created it. The really smart scholars beleive its actually a relic tool from a long dead ancient race.

Kaze Empire(Poltical Term): A once proud noble empire that is nothing more then a distaint memory to most. Once base of operations to the High Knights.(See High Knights for more)

Kia(Poltical Term/Place): A city in the sky that existed long before any other race was here. Its just ruins of floating castles and debris however. It was ruled over a very advanced race known as Kians. No contact is on record of this race so very little is known about them except for what historians get from the ruins.

Dragons Domain(Poltical Term/Place) If you want to find a dragon, then this is the best bet. Its a rocky moutain area with countless diamonds and gold. Because of this, Dwarfs and greedy humans have tried stealing it only to meet a quick end. Theirs a city built on the moutains for dragons who prefer their human form. Generally a good place to go for information, since Dragons are known for wisdom. Home operations for Lord Reifer.

Shadow Plane(Poltical Term/Place.) A place of pure evil and were dark creatures are spawned, its said to be in between Halzara and Nalzara but is dormant unless its tampered with. Its dark and has infinite amount of "Levels" that can be reached. The higher someone goes up, the more powerful the creatures and since its said to be limitless, it goes with out saying that nobody with a bit of common sense would willing go their.(The Insane and power mad aside.)Said to be Balza's point of origin.

Dancing Blade Member:(Political Term/Organization) A powerful group thats been apart of both High Elves and Desert Elves since the beginning. They are some of most skilled swordsmen and women in the land and for good reason. They are a noble special group but have changed with the times. As their name suggest-they still fight with swords. However, their still fast enough to use them effectively even agaisnt gun users. A true Dancing Blade Members can deflect bullets but at the attacker as easy as one takes the energy to walk.

Crisis Meeting(Poltical Term) A meeting held at remote by remote locations such as the Sea of Sorrow. All the Important, Lords, Kings and Queens attend from all over both Halzara/Nalzara representing almost all the races. Its very rare that this happends and when it does it means something really big is going down.

Nalzara/Halzara Setting: Both are pretty much the same. However, to get a better idea I will explain it a bit more to get a bit more of the feel.

Setting: Both realms are very war-torn, and alot of the landscape has been created from past battles such as the Sea of Sorrow. Technology wise its a mixture of modern and medeival based. Nalzara citizens have managed to have magic and technology to exist with one another. But because of iccident with the Gods eon's ago, alot of technology was lost. Strange attempts at re-making old designs came into play but instead got created into other things. Most things of transportation technology-wise has been wiped away, except for old trains. So the main way of travelling is by lower-tech means such as simply walking. Fire Arms are still their, but aren't to common and are highly expensive unless you know the right people. In some places, their is little no technology and is others most of its intact in fact. No matter were you live, the threat of monsters is usually very high and they prey on the un-suspecting or the weak. All in all, Halzara/Nalzara is a very strange complex place that no one will completely understand.
