I think Gambit will be back, no question. How they undue all that garbage they did I can't begin to guess. They just wanted to keep him and Rogue apart I suppose. Love how the Gambit and Rogue in Xtreme didn't even resemble the Gambit and Rogue in X-Men..all that great stuff got trashed. I loved them just being happy together-no needless drama. But people don't seem to like happy couples in comics I guess.

Sunfire they just don't seem to want to use as a guy on the home team-but maybe that will change with all the recent (even if it was bad) exposure? Loved him in AOA, he was more human/real to me than any other time I've read about him.

In Uncanny X-men I don't really know, since after the 12 part saga there's no telling how long they will stay out in space.

I'd like to see Northstar rejoin the X-Men.

I'd also like to see Jubilee, Karma, Magma, Skids, and Moonstar become more prominent characters at the X-Mansion.

Gambit, Sunfire and Northstar. All three are due for some decent use after being majorly messed over by other writers to either make another character look good or get them out of storyline.

Yes!!! I would definately like to see Sunfire get his due. Bad memories of that awful Rogue series are starting to surface again.:evilangry

You just haven't read the right issues then. There are plenty of issues that show Sunfire as human/real. I like his AoA version, but he'll just never stack up to 616 Shiro for me.

Gonna apologize in advance for going on my own tangent, but With the way Astonishing is going, who better than Gambit to act as a serious wildcard. (no pun intended). Him and Jubes, re-powered with a hint of bad-ass (considering her recent trauma), but losing none of her sass.

Jubes could work with Uncanny. Hell, she's fought those Shi'ar buggers before. And of all the characters, she would be the only one who could actually make you laugh.

Gambit, i hate to admit, is too perfect for X-men. You have Rogue, his chere. You have Mystique, the bitchy mom who tried to seduce him. You have Creed, who he hates with a vengeance. Even Iceman adds to Gambit's element, especially if he and Rogue become a bit closer. I just wouldn't DROWN the book with Rogue/Gambit nonsense.

Sunfire would have to be on X-men. He and Rogue are good allies, and he would be teh one to bring Gambit back. Also, he's pretty cool and he never does much in Marvel. This would help his rep with the fans.

Synch would be freakin' insane with Uncanny. SO MUCH POWER FOR HIM TO COMMAND.....oh.....he is...............well...........guess not for Synch. :(

I like the teams pretty much how they are for right now, but I'd replace Sabretooth with Deadpool over on the X-men team. Either him or Gambit. Sabretooth isn't an X-man and won't be sticking around for long anyway, so they're going to need to bring someone else in to take his place.

Seconded. And keep them in their Alpha Flight outfit! I remember the horror of seeing Northstar with this redesigned costume...whatever that was when that manga artist drew him in the Austen run.

Others I would like to see:

Typhoid Mary-great look, she`s also schizo so great potential for stories, blades and pyro powers

Amanda Shefton-she could be a new Magik-type character)

Nate Grey-with a new outlook

Toad-because I want to see Chris Bachalo draw him with his weird shape and ridiculous outfit.

Scalphunter-watch out

Alchemy-remember that young brit, followed by Trolls? He could transmute anything. I like that he`s so not a super-hero, juts a young lost nerd with cool powers.

Vanguard-my favorite mutant. Hey he has to make the grade at one time or another.

Diamond LiL-big invulnerable chick. What`s interesting is that she can`t be killed, hurt or damaged by anything but she doesn`t have super-strength.

Longshot-a new more badass Longshot. Still the light heart agile guy but a little more vicious. The guy throws various spikes, knives and churiken for crying out loud.

No offense, but I think Longshot in a book could force me to drop it.

I support the Beaubiers to join X-Men and Jean to replace Rachel in Uncanny. I think I'd also add Betsy to their cast or maybe even Storm. I think it'd be great to have more old school members on this particular squad of X-Men.

Oh yea Beaubier is Northstar, right. lol I thought that was Gambit.

Personaly I like Longshot because of the joy and enthousiasm he brings. He`s like Erol Flynn. Plus, great outfit, he throws evereything from knives, churikens, etc...

Deadpool making a multi-issue appearance, but not joining a team, would be great. Wade's good in small doses.

I'd like to see Deadpool and Emma have to do some sort of mission together.

For X-Men, I'd love to see Northstar and Aurora join up. I would've loved to see Nightcrawler in that title as well as Pulse.

In Uncanny, I'd go with Sunfire, Colossus, and/or Storm.
And I agree about having Jean in it instead of Rachel. :o

My answer is sort of a cop-out, but -- I'd like to see the teams made up of whomever that author wants to write. I prefer a well-written book full of characters I'm not that into, as opposed to my favorite characters being ground into the dirt by someone who felt obligated to use them.

That being said, I'm really hoping that Archangel ends up in any one of the ongoing X-books in the near future. I'd also like to see Cecilia Reyes make a comeback.

I agree with Magma, T-Bird, Karma, Sunspot and Lifeguard, not with Gambit and Sunfire, let them hook up with Sinister and be villains for a couple of years at least. That would be a cool development.

Addition to AXM: Cece Reyes, she would fit the team perfect I think.

Karma should be leading the 'squadless' students in NXM.

T-Bird III and Lifeguard on UXM

Sunspot and Magma as back-up members.

Maybe when/if the Uncanny crew comes back from space, I'd love to see them square off against a dangerous Exodus. I'd love to see a Exodus/Vulcan showdown - even if they're both bad!:evilsmile

I'd also like to see Kurt get some lovin' in his life. He's such a charmer....maybe by the end of Fall of the Shi'ar Empire, he'll have a space-girlfriend! :D Even though Amanda Sefton would be just right me thinks.

In X-Men. I dunno. I'll let Carey do whatever he wants to do. He's on fire. If he keeps up his stellar work so far, he can use whatever characters and settings he wants. Though, I really think Pulse, Sunspot, Magma, and Karma could have a role in the book because of who's on the team. Not saying throw all of them in there at once, but 1 or 2 of the 4 could easily fit in IMO, but if so, I guess that's waaay down the line.....

Let's start with romances. Ann Coulter and the Shadow King can get together, and...waitaminute. I just realized there's only one woman in the whole roster. Peepers and Blob can be a couple anyway. I suppose we can also bring in a supporting cast character for Bonebreaker. How about Nurse Annie? Stan Lee would lead the team, but the Shadow King would try to corrupt him...

I agree with Magma and Karma coming back. I would love to see Magma in X-Men and Karma in New X-Men. Also I think I would throw Empath in that book as well. Emma could have him help train the kids or teach business. Also I always thought that Angel should be in Astonishing.

Angel. I really liked the fact that they were making a more powerful character and now he's been shunted into the background. I'm looking forward to Civil War: X-men basically because he's in it. (That and it's the originals)

Original 4 + Emma = No Go. Sorry. Emma may have taken Jean's place in every other aspect of X-Men life but she should not, should never replace her when it comes to that grouping of X-Men. It is not the Original 5 w/ Jean.

X-Men: Civil War is great b/c it's giving those fans the chance to see the 4 go into battle again, Scott already mentioned not having Jean there. If Emma had gone on this mission w/ them it would have been crap to me. No Original 5 w/o Jean. Bring her back than talk their own book.
