You know if Superman HAS regained his Superbrain again, couldn't he invent a device that could cancel out his powers allowing him to do his work on the computer and spend time with Lois, especially their time in the bed, and be able to live like a normal Human being until danger strikes and he could take it off and transform into Superman.

Could he also invent a way to give Lois temporary kryptoian powers, or a device that in case she was pregent with his child this device cancels out his "super-strength."

What do you guys think ? :(

What do you guys think ? :(As far as procreation is concerned, I think they have more than enough options compared to any couple in this world. It's more a question of whether they want to or not. Kurt's recently said on Geoff John's forum that he considers them as relative newlyweds- at least with his take and the elastic timeline- so family planning might still be a ways off.

As for creating such a device, I seriously doubt he'd create anything with such a great potential for abuse/misuse against himself. In the Silver Age, Super-Intellect Superman was constantly searching for a cure against Kryptonite to increase his effectiveness/protect himself. This would be the equivalent of introducing a new, reproducable Kryptonite to the world (one of the big offenses of Batman's Babel protocols).

What do you mean regain his super intelligence. From my understanding Clark Kent is a genius. That is part of his character.

With him being near Lex Luthor and Batman's intellectual level. Consider of course that both of them are EXTREMELY smart. Mr. Terrific would fall under this category, though I think they say he is smarter then Bats? Dont know.

Either way, Kent is really smart. Since when did he lose his intelligence?

Not just intelligence!

SUPER-intelligence!

I didn't read the entire Up, Up, and Away story arc, but what I did read seemed to imply that what he has is more of an increased capacity for knowledge/understanding than actual super-intelligence.

Looked over the last issue of Up, up, and Away! yesterday. The impression that I was left with wasn't so much that he has super-intelligence, but that his thinking, reaction times, all those functions, were accellerated, like his brain functions speeded up as part of the return of his super-speed.

Edited to fix a typo.

Able to process information faster? Makes sense. Genius level IQ would be able to process information much faster. What is that, "3 space thinking" or something?

Once again, I think he thinks faster, especially if he shifts to "speed mode" like we see in Smallville, everything out in the world seems to slow down by comparison. But I don't think it makes him super intelligent, like Clark thinks to himself in Birthright, he's not as smart as Lex, he just reads really fast.

I guess what I'm getting at is while Clark could have relative hours between moves in a game of chess with Bruce, I think Bruce still wins.

It's not just faster thinking, it's a kind of built-in computer ability. And probably super-precise control over his own body. So now he knows how to hit a bad guy JUSSSSST hard enough and at just the right angle, so that he falls in jussssst such a way that his weapon goes off and hits another bad guy at jusssst the right angle to knock him out without killing him...
That doesn't mean greater creativity, though, which is the big advantage Lex and Bruce have. Clark could play a game of chess with Bruce and after each move, calculate every conceivable outcome to millions of possibilities. And against pretty nearly anyone else, that would be enough to ensure the win. But Bruce would come up with some off-the-wall move that doesn't seem to make sense and manage to pull off the win anyway.
There are many different kinds of intelligence.

^Pretty much. It's like how Captain Kirk beats Spock at 3-D chess.
