I'm not sure if this has been brought up recently ... I certainly haven't noted a topic. But uh ... the old Wayne Manor is back?
As you might recall, the classic Wayne Manor (the single mansion with the columns in front) was totalled during "Cataclysm." However, now, OYL, it seems to be back in it's original incarnation. As opposed to the massive castle that Bruce had built post-No Man's Land.
Like it's literally the original Manor (in appearance and size). We see this briefly (well, barely) during "Face the Face," but see the traditional manor in Justice League of America #0 and Robin #152.
Also, the Bat-cave has gone classic with the giant penny & dinosaur (that's probably been noted before, though).
Now, I'm curious as to what this means. Was this an Infinite Crisis-rewrite? In Robin #152, they still note that the earthquake happened (heck, they still note it happened in the 52 series). So the Quake still happened. Does this just mean Wayne Manor WASN'T totalled?
Or did something happen during the missing year to the "new" Wayne Manor in which they replaced it with something different?
... or maybe I'm just making too much out of a simple general artistic decision on DC's part (go all-classic with everything Bats: the cave, the Manor, Commissioner Gordon, Batman & Robin, etc.).
Food for thought.
