I missed the first mini-series but after reading #1 & #2 of the second mini-series I'm hooked!

IMHO it would be great if this became an ongoing series. Reminded me of Busiek's Thunderbolts (post-#12 Vol.1).

Most of the "name" characters like Scandal, Knockout, Deadshot, Catman etc I've only had a small amount of exposure but it was easy to become fans of them.

The artist was great, too. Haven't seen him before. They made the series have a perfect blend of the bright DCU but also didn't make the uber-violence seem out of place.

I don't think your the only one hoping for this series to keep going. If DC decides to keep going with it after the initial six issues I know myself and tons of other people who'd read it if Gail was up for it.

Glad I'm not the only one! :D

Edit: Even if Gail is to busy to do it herself (it happans!) I'd like to see how other writers would handle the Six. The potential is limitless.
Brubaker, Johns, Darwyn Cooke & Grant Morrison would rock.

I'd like to see the Six eventually meet up with/fight Flash's Rogues (Mirror Master, Heatwave, Captain Cold, Boomerang etc) just to see the teams interact with each other.

I'd love The Secret Six to become an ongoing book. It's my favourite DC book alongside Birds of Prey.

I really hope that Secret Six gets to become an ongoing title.

Villains United had a great run and Secret Six has been excellent so far.

Gail doesn't tend to do things by half measures.

I sorta hope it doesn't, I don't think Secret Six is anywhere near as good as Villains United, it just seems like a constant setup for the next one liner, I'm getting pretty bored of it already, sadly.

And I loved Villains United. o.o

I actually think Secret Six is a little more polished than Villains United.

I think Sonic tends to go for fun action stories while Secret Six has been a little slower paced and more serious than Villains United.

Gail has been doing well with all her recent titles though and I think SS will get even better.

I'm enjoying the hell out of this so far, but we need a tighter art team. Some of Secret Six looks like coloured napkin scribbles.

An ongoing series with Gail would never leave my pull list though, even if Liefeld were drawing it with J-Bolt.

The current SS artist gels with Gail incredibly well.

The team works well for this similar to Gail & Benes* BOP run.

* I'm glad he's getting higher profile assignments but I'd prefer him back with Birds then JLA

Oh heck no, maybe Bendis or Brubaker, but I wouldn't trust anybody else to write Secret Six, it has that flow that by any other writer I don't think the series would be half as interesting.

I would buy it. Out of the series spinning out of the other IC minis, this is the best.

Shadowpact....meh. I tried it, but the art is killing me. I liked Enchantress's hat, and Nightshade's old costume. And I like monkeys, but Det. Chimp just pisses me off for some reason.

Ion...pass. Bring back Jade. Make Kyle a member of the GL Corps.

Checkmate. I love Amanda Waller (huge fan of John Ostrander's Suicide Squad), and I love Fire...but this book. Something about it just isn't clicking (see Shadowpact).

Checkmate is just boring now, I dropped it an issue or so ago, politics/24 like storylines just don't work in comics, least not in Checkmate. Shadowpact is good but, yeah they need NEED to get another artist on board for that series, the stories are good but, the art is maybe a 3 outta 5. Oh and Detective Chimp is da bomb. Ion got a lot better after the first issue, the current storyline is interesting, and I am curious as to where they are gonna go with this whole "torchbearer" thing.

Bru's a definite contender but Bendis isn't gonna work for DC any time soon after the Batman/Daredevil fiasco.

Batman/Daredevil fiasco? I know Bendis' run of Daredevil was awesome, the whole Murdock Papers thing, but what, did DC want him for Batman and he turned it down in favor of Daredevil?

IIRC last year Didio or some exec at DC showed up at a Marvel panel at a convention that Bendis was on and Bendis pissed him off, since Bendis Batman proposal (before he was famous) was rejected by DC.

My memory is fuzzy on the details but in the end the crossover Bendis wanted to do with Brubaker for DD/Bats was shot down.

I think even Didio got angry at Bendis over it, too.

Please keep Bendis away from my DC.

That was Bob Wayne, VP in charge of trades and collected editions.

I wouldn't be so sure that the whole thing wasn't staged. Or that Wayne wasn't there to stir things up.

DC and Marvel love for people to think there's bad blood between them, even when there's not. I think the casual company crossovers in the 90s is partially blamed for the sales plummet and the idea is that the industry is healthier the more violently at odds Marvel and DC appear to be.

If there was a way for Quesada and Didio to duke it out in public, I think Marvel and DC would arrange it.
