Normally I am up on music and know a lot of random bands. But I just looked at this listing for a street festival on Saturday and am utterly lost. Anyone have insight into any of these ?

I can only extol the excellence that is Apollo Sunshine, they are teh only reason I am going, well that and drinking beer outside and girls in very little clothes.

Apollo Sunshine: I bought the eponymously-titled album they released last year, and I absolutely love the song, "Today Is the Day."

The only band I recognized that you didn't was Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin. As ridiculous as that band's name is, they are really good and if you like the Starlight Mints, then you should like Boris.

Starlight Mints brout me to Sound Team, Camera Obscura, and Grandaddy.

The only other one I've heard of is The Gris Gris (unless Gris-Gris is a totally different band), which if I'm right is electronic in a Daft Punk way.
