Yes. It ran for 4 issues. Forget who the artist was, but I'm pretty certain Claremont wrote it.
I enjoyed it. It deals with the time Magik spent in limbo, starting out as a little girl up to the time when she's a young teenager. You also get to see dark alternate earth versions of Storm, Kitty, Nightcrawler, and other X-men.

There was, a four issue mini from 1983-84 featuring Illyana and Storm.
It was written by Claremont with art by John & Sal Buscema, Ron Frenz and Tom Palmer.
I haven't read it, but chances are it's as excellent as Claremont's other X-Men work from that era.

Nice Avatar, Perry. Perhaps being Italian myself, I always got a kick out of Father Sarducci's slightly surreal vintage SNL moments.

From Mile High Comics: "Credits: Chris Claremont (Script), John Buscema (Pencils), Tom Palmer (Inks), Glynis Wein (Colors), Tom Orzechowski (Letters)."
And I don't think I've ever seen it traded. However, Mile High currently has all 4 issues available for a total of $11.80 for "NM" (which is about the cost of a new trade anyway, right?) Other on-line stores may also have it (and perhaps for even cheaper?)
I remember it being a fun read (although it's been years since I re-read it...)
Magik #1-4 is the origin of Illyana Rasputin as Magik & how she became the Darkchilde by Chris Claremont. Magik #1-4 happens in the middle of Uncanny X-Men #160. Illyana's story continues in The New Mutants #14 when she officially joins the team.
