Anyone here a fan of the Soviet Super Soldiers?

I think they have real potential. The one thing that always confused me though is what happend to the first Red Guardian which was a woman and where did the man version come from? Also I recall Darkstar being the daughter of a very powerful being named the Prescence. This guy chased Quasar off the planet permanently. Anyone know elaborate details of why her over protective uber powerful father didnt show up to save Darkstar in the X-Men? Loved to hear any comments you all have on these guys.

I loved them since their characters are sort of rip-off of the avengers and some of their members were pretty cool. I liked the crossover between them , the avengers and canadian's alpha flight "Crossing Line" , it was done like a homage to the old silver age JLA/JSA crossover and it was pretty cool.

They are no longer called soviet super soldiers anymore though. They have been through so many names changes it's kind of silly. I think they are called winter guard now.
I would dearly loved to see more of them.
I liked Perun and Vostok , Perun is the russian god of thunder with the personality of hercules. Shame that Perun never got to meet thor and hercules. Vostok is the russian equvalent of Vision with the ability to manipulate machinery parts.

the sss was mad up of darkstar ,her brother vangard,and major urus
in ther fist set of apereces they had a crimson dynamo with them

they went independet got rid of dynamo and got gremly in 'rom'

they mad some camoes than they whent to avengers island asking for asylem
they were put in comas in a one shot cap sellem out and lets them be taken of the island and back to rusha ther they meet the mutans from the x factor anual that happend in rusha inthe end the jound up with theas mutans


the peoples protectoret is antother team not part of the sss

vangard died in the starblasters ls
so darkstar and her father came to quaz he ran leting them think they killed him
