Let's see...

-A lot of booths were still being set up.
-There was always a group aound Gail so I didn't get a chance to meet her yet.
-The Snakes On A Plane people brought a huge snake...thing with stuff from the movie inside.
-For any Final Fantasy 7 fans, some of the sword dealers are selling replica Sephiroth swords that are impossible to unsheath by yourself.
-I only got a shirt so far, but there are about 500 other things I want to get.
-Oh yeah, neener neener neener!:p

Got to meet Gail and get a BOP trade signed. It was the one with her first story arc and she told me about how happy she was when it was first released. I think I told her my name, but I was kinda...nervous...I could have said wetting my pants, but I'll go with nervous.

I went to both the DC nation panel with Mark Waid hitting on a girl in a Zatanna costume and the Marvel Civil War panel with Mark Millar on the phone saying dirty words. Jeph Loeb was there also to talk about his upcomming run on Wolverine.

SATURDAY! PANEL DAY!


The convention floor is always packed full of people on Saturday, so I spent all day in panels. The LOST panel was great and even had an appearance by Rachael Blake, I hope I'm not the only one here who knows who that is. The rest of the day was spent in the big panel room, Hall H. I saw the trailer for Grind House, hear Tarantino use the f word eleventy billion times, and see Rosario Dawson fill in for Kevin Smith who was late for his own panel. Then came the Ghost Rider/Spider-Man 3 panel. Nic Cage: You can't tell if he's high, or if he's just that way. Either way, great guy who's really into comics. Then came Spider-Man 3. Sam Raimi, Tobey Maquire, Kirsten Dunst, Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, and Bryce Dallas Howard all showed up. There was also a video presentation with footage of Spider-Man 3 with stuff like Sider-Man fighting Sandman, and the first look at Venom.


It looks like it's gonna be better than Spider-Man 1 and 2 combined.

I've got my heart set on going next year and all going well, I'll be there for the full con next year!

I've already drawn up a list of hotels and things to do for next year and I've only got to get the money worked out and I'll be there.

It is helluva pricey to go (I was counting that it'll probably cost me around about £1300 to go, staying at a decent hotel) but I've never been to the US before and I've been wanting to go for years.

I'm sore as hell and need about three days rest, but I'm already looking foward to next year.
