I think it was a good idea to pick Kirsten Dunst. She plays a much better MJ than the women from Lady in the Water coud ever do.

How took you say that about her you never seen her do the roll of MJ. Maryjane is a model type and she more of that then Dunst is. And also she a natural redhead so it looks better on her ( I think redhead are super hot anyway). I think she would make a good MJ. And I'm pretty sure she was around five years ago. They just went with Dunst because she is a know actress.
