I can't help you with issue numbers, but I think this was during the story where Supeman first met Blaze.

(Of course, I may be thinking of Perry's wife, who did the same thing)

Peter, I don't remember the issue #s, but it happened after Our Worlds At War. Lois Lane went on a "vacation" to mourn her father, and visit with her mother for awhile.

It was during this time that she'd discovered her mother had had an affair.

Thaaaat's right. Ms. Lane thought Lois was cheating on Clark with Superman, and revealed her own tryst. I'd completely forgotten that.
