Somethying I have been thinking about. Definitely leaning that low expectations are a worse insult than anything anyone could call me. What say my fellow CBRers?

"Oh, you're black, you aren't smart enough to make it into college by yourself, let's give you some bonus points simply for the color of your skin, no matter what background, rich or poor, you come from."
I'd certainly say that's an insulting idea...

I have low expectations when on a (first/second/third) date, just so I don't get too disappointed. It's not that I expect less of her; I expect less of a connection between us. Expectations rise on consecutive dates.
Does that mean she should be insulted?
