I love the series and look forward to you on them. Also look forward to you throwing in a SleepWalker appearance.:D Are there any type of rules that you have to follow in regards to how violence is depicted in the book? Are more then one issue story arcs allowed?

Yeah, there's rules --- and there should be, considering it's an all-ages book. So I try to write something that I'll find interesting, but that my 7 year-old son can also take to share with his classmates without a second thought.
We also keep the issues self-contained, but each 4th issue can sort of gather up villains from the previous 3. I enjoy doing the done-in-one stories, and there's good reason for it: we're trying to reach new readers with every single issue.

How long are you going to be doing the book? Is there a list of villains you are able to use for it? Are you able to create any new characters? Thanks for the reply.

Hi Tony. Love Exiles, and thanks for putting two of my favorite characters, Longshot and Miguel O'Hara on the team.
On-topic, I have sort of a long-winded question, so I apologize in advance.
I've read some of the Marvel Adventures books and while I enjoy them I feel they sometimes have a tendency to underestimate what kids can handle. There never seems to be any sense of danger for the characters, and more often than not it seems like they're more humor based than kid-friendly superhero comics. Kids these days read Harry Potter and Lemony Snickett, and those books, while being completely appropriate for kids, also put their characters in real danger, and take themselves seriously. I'm hoping that the addition of folks like you on MA Avengers and PAD on MA Spider-Man might change this. So my question is, will we see something closer to the tone of the early Lee/Kirby and Lee/Ditko books (minus the ongoing subplots) or will they remain (in my opinion) lighter books?
Thanks!

Honestly, they'll probably remain lighter books. The kids needing something edgier can, frankly, just pick up the regular Marvel books. I understand the point you're making, and it's a good one, but I also know that I don't feel comfortable sending my 7 year-old to school with a bunch of my books to show to his friends. Even though my stuff's pretty tame, there's always something that some parent might find objectionable. I look forward to letting him show off the Marvel Adventures issues, though.

Fair enough (and thanks for the response). I'll be sure to check out your Avengers issues regardless.
Thanks
