Untill you really get mad at the guy

to mean depends on 3 things

1) Excuse

2) Quality of work

Sometime if they late cause they want to perfect it..I am cool. But if they doing it just cause there Lazy..I get upside. Sometime a Valid excuse. Loeb son died..so a little latnest is unerstanble

But Superman/Batman ALWAYS been late.

Some people say

"WHO CAREZ..it comes out when it comes out"

It does ruin the story momentum and flow of things when it a multiple month break. Also why Should I commit to the comic if the writer doesnt want to. If I buy a 3 issue mini..I am buying it with the idea I will get a whole story

I paying 3 bucks for the first 2..with the idea that for my money I will get a whole story at the end.

See unlike a movie..Comics, the story in parts. Don't get a whole story and I am not satisfied

It be like seeing a play..where the Actor walk out before it half way done and say "Be back in a year"

Depends, is it too late because they ran it through the spellcheck an extra time?

This thread is the closest CBR has come to a Virginia Woolf moment.

And the answer is one minute. These people are professionals and are hired to deliver a product. If they are incapable of delivering said product on time they should be publicly flogged.

Unless, of course, they are writers and artists I like, in which case they can take all the time in the world and I will excuse it with the stirring statement 'Quality takes time".

Spelling is usually irrelevant but the lack of complete sentences genuinely makes it difficult here to tell what the question is. Are you asking whether there's a point at which a late comic becomes unacceptable and you won't buy it?

And there is a hell of a lot of misspelling here. It's sort of inconsiderate.

Unless I forked over my 2.25 to the artist personally before the issue came out, eh, lateness doesn't bother me.

Things is in a way you are.
They getting paid because the fans buy their books

Sure They have a write to be as late as they want I suspose
but there is a thing like a work Ethic

Edit

For instance take Battle Chaser
Basicly feel rip off

Because dont think I will EVER get a whole story. Same with Target. Basicly wasted my money.

I've been waiting 20 years for Mike Kaluta and Elaine Lee to do the next issue of Starstruck. Bruscilla the Muscle where are you?!

There are some truly amazing juxtapositions in this thread. And a couple of head-scratching facts.

I--- I've spent an hour trying to reason out what it *means*. Not the text, not what it "means." Something far more insidious: the cryptology. What does it *mean*?

I think it's a message from beyond, and our puny minds will NEVER grasp the significance.

You forgot about the red wheelbarrow.

And it's a shame, as so much depends on it.

The man said he's dyslexic and he's trying his best. I hope he hasn't taken this type of crap for over 1400 posts. What has he done to deserve this?

The man said he's dyslexic and he's trying his best.

Just as a matter of clarification, if I may.

Dyslexia can or might excuse the spelling (although I'm not really seeing a lot of dyslexic-type spelling gaffs, but I'm no expert so I accept that), but not the grammar.

Besides, I pick on handicapped people around here *ALL* the time. Ask Ed and Joe, I pick on them constantly.

Two days is standard. Me, I think three days is money. But five days. I don't know. She'll forget about you by then, right?

But, as to the original question, how late is too late?

I'd say if she's 2 weeks past, you might want to get an e.p.t. just to be sure.

Hell, I can hit my woods a mile. It's just determining the direction of that mile that's the problem.

I learned a long time ago that a 2-iron 250 yards down the middle is better than a driver 300 yards to the other fairway, or farmer Brown's cornfield.

"Loeb son died..so a little latnest is unerstanble"

Yeah, I'd agree with this one. A little lateness for producing a comic book featuring men in tights after your son dies is understandable. Not too long, though. Not fair to your fans.

Ah, it's not even that, it's just there's kind of an irony when talking about lateness vs. quality.

No lateness is "acceptable," but sometimes it can be excused with a note from your doctor.

Seriously, artists and writers: you made a commitment. If you want to be treated as a professional, keep it.
