Arcana Studio is on top of the “Food Chain”
Arcana Studio has combined with Food Chain Films to introduce “Food Chain - The Comic Book” an all-new mini-series coming out this Fall. Food Chain Films (writer/Producer - Jarboe) and Arcana Studio EIC (Co-Producer/Publisher) Sean O’Reilly, are making sure that the Vampire genre stays fresh with the 21st century story of ”Food Chain”.
This new mini-series is the story of two “Virus Vampires” that adjust to an ever changing world by living in the grey areas of the inner city. Sean, a nerdish research associate (that was accidently infected with the “Vampire Virus”) decides to drop out of the system and scam blood by being a hearse driver. Sean spends his time cruising the streets for fresh bodies and playing video games. Sean's life is pretty content until he literally runs into Lillian, a Hispanic illegal alien who lives in the inner city and has a quite different personality. But when Sean gives the “Vampire Virus” to Lillian, to save her from AIDS, things change.
“Food Chain - The Comic book” was created by Jarboe in 2006, when Arcana Studio and Sean O’Reilly read the screenplay for “Food Chain - The Movie” , they decided that it needed to be a comic book. Thanks to Arcana studio (who is now Canada’s biggest comic book publisher) and Sean O’Reilly “Food Chain - The Comic Book” will be coming out in North America in the Fall of 2006. Arcana Studio, recently won The Shuster Award for Outstanding Publisher, as voted on by retailers and readers. Arcana’s titles have consistently come in the top independent books in the industry and they have worked for NBC, HBO, Disney and more. In addition, Don Simandl (slated to direct “Food Chain - The Movie”) will be overseeing the creative. Mr. Simandl will make sure that fans of “Food Chain - The Comic Book” will be pleased when they watch “Food Chain - The Movie”.
