We've had threads for us PR whores to pimp ourselves. Now let's be good little givers and help out our friends.
http://www.lostink.net
This is the site for my friend John Sutton. John's a very talented writer and artist who tried his hand getting into comics a few years ago with his title Ronin Lost. Comics gave him a pretty good beating but he's giving it a go again soon with a new book called Zer0.
Check out his site and enjoy his awesome talent. Hopefully this time around John can make his dream happen.
So go ahead and PIMP YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Good idea, Tom!
Brooke Fox (http://www.brookefox.com/)
This is one of my good friends from high school who also lives here in NY. She's an amazingly talented singer/song writer who has gotten a lot of good press lately. I try to make it out to all of her NYC gigs and when I do, I usually drag a bunch of friends. They've all loved her.

Real good idea. This is Cari's (http://www.eatkitties.com/) website/webcomics. She's very dedicated to her craft. She's got a great site.
She has her own forum too. She has many links to other webcomics, and is always happy to have people at her forum.

That's the way this world is these days. Most people just look out for their own interests.
Here's a few more links for my friends.

This is an internet friend of mine who is trying to break into comics. The last thing I heard for him is that Jim Lee was interested in his work.

Most talented artist I ever worked with: http://www.jerrymagni.com
Not to be shallow, but this guy draws women's butts like nobody I've ever seen. He's also a brilliant designer with a stunning visual imagination, but somehow, it's the asses that stick with me.

I'm going to go ahead and pimp Honor Brigade written by our own Tom Stillwell. Thanks to wining a contest I hadn't realized I entered until I got a PM from Tom I just received issue one and two in the mail today when I fot home from work. If I can use one word to encapsulate issue 1 and 2 that word would be FUN. I had an absolute blast reading both issues as everything from the art, to the dialoge to well everything was fun. I am going to buy the rest of the issues as Tom and Bradley finish them and would recommend you guys do the same.

Lester is my pimp. Who'd have thunk it?
My wife pimped me out yesterday too.
Caty (wife), Miranda (daughter) and I were in Chicago Comics yesterday for my bi-monthly book buy. I hadn't been to that particular store in a while and the amount of books that I had already gotten somewhere else was staggering.
I started putting books back on the shelf so the shop owners wouldn't have to. I came across a young lady looking for different issues of 52. I had everything she was looking for and happily handed them over. As I went back to trying to restock the books I heard my wive pipes up across the shop...
"He writes comics. Tom, where do they have your books?"
My wife had snagged the young lady and was looking for my books. I'm red at this point. I'm a bit bashful in person and not at all the PR whore you see daily.
To make matters worse, they had moved my books. I had no idea where they were. Finally we found them and the young lady walked off with copies of both issues. I wanted to sign them, but Miranda had entangled herself in a Nightmare Before Christmas plush toy display, and by the time she was free from their enticement the young girl was gone.
Thanks for the pimpage, Les. Glad you enjoyed the books.

Another old friend of mine put up a clip on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bbwVT7bBYs).
It's Turkish language rap. I've known Ufuk almost exactly 9 years, we met at a New Years Eve party and walked home together through minus 12 degrees Celsius. Brrr.
About half the thug-looking guys in the video are friends of mine, and several of them have "secret identities" as kindergateners or social workers. :D
They sure managed to capture the ghetto side of my city though!

Nothing here to push that hasn't already. I just want to show appreciation to Tom for using the verb "pimp" properly. It does NOT mean "to redecorate", despite what the television would have you believe.
