This is the week the comics industry closes its doors, goes to San Diego and has inappropriate sex with the film/television industry.
Team URSA MINORS!, however, plans to stay home and get work done. Mechanized Ultra-artist, Fernando Pinto, is cranking out beautifully illustrated pages for issue the third while beginning layouts for the fourth issue and putting the final touches on the third cover, a Harry Potter homage, that will appear in the August/October issue of Diamond PREVIEWS.
I, in the meantime, am writing the issue three solicitation copy while helping 'Nando and our lovely editrix-in-chief make final edits to issue #2, set to hit stores in August.
You remember URSA MINORS! #2, right? You loved issue One and now want this. You need this. You can't function in society without it.

This issue takes our boys in bear suits to the Far East where Paul, Nando and I make jokes about Nintendo, Voltron, Godzilla and pit our heroes against a clan of ninja delicatessen owners! Also, issue #2 features a back up story that fans of Slave Labor comics cannot pass up... "My Grandmother, the Goth!"
URSA MINORS! #2, a $2.95 black and white pop culture packed comic book from Slave Labor Graphics, hits finer stores this August and can still be pre-ordered in bulk using the Diamond Item Number (JUN062818) so you can buy a copy for all the cool and attractive folk in your family.
Here - For you I give two preview pages. But just for you:

So if you're going to San Diego this weekend have fun - go hit on Rosario Dawson and remember to swing by the Slave Labor Graphics booth to meet all your favorite SLG creators and grab multiple copies of URSA MINORS #1..
We'll be here where we should be: Making Comics For You.
