Thanks for the reminder! I never poured through all of disc 2.
Cash, check out Home Theater Forum -- they probably go all out on describing the contents of the DVD.
Not really 'blown' away. But it was good. I especially liked the interviews. If I had known how seriously Christopher Nolan was taking Batman Begins, I would never have had any doubts about it before seeing it.

I can't believe they didn't have one deleted or extended scene! We're the actors so great that there were no mistakes? Or is DC hanging on to them so that they can release a collector's edition right before the sequel comes out?

I thought it could have been better.

the special features were good, though i'd have liked to see some deleted scenes and especially a commentary since i usually find those pretty interesting.

I agree, the extras were pretty cool, especially the Tumbler part. I do wish there was a commentary though, because Nolan's commentary on Memento was not only interesting but also helped me ace an assignment.

The commentary on Batman was better than Batman Begins.

Well, commentary = director/star interviews to me...

The extras didn't blow me away but they were very good. I loved the featurette on the Tumbler. That car rocks.

Ah okay, fair enough.

Just what everyone else has said really - I wish there'd been a director's commentary (even though the features contained a wealth of information, specific stories involving the shooing of specific scenes in a commentary would have been tremendous) and deleted scenes.
And I also with there had been a 'play all' features for all the little features, so you could view them as a documentary in its own right, like on the Alien Quadrilogy box-set.
The special features are great though.

Nolan hates doing commentary.

Nolan said he rather do a commentary later when he feels that the movie has made the rounds and he could assess what people thought of it, of course this was when the dvd was made. Ie he wanted to see how people saw it, of course the grit and realism was what people talked about and i'm sure he would elaborate on that.
The extras were awesome. especially the tumbler and the fighting one, seeing christian bale's animal body beating people up. what a badass.
