Is Weezer done ?

According to Yahoo.com they could be. Rivers Cuomo has told MTV.Com that the band could be finished after 5 albums. He's recently married and living in Japan . He is writing material but feels its not really Weezer material and he doesn't feel ok releasing it right now.

If this is true then I'm pretty sad. Weezer has really released 2 to 3 albums I absolutely love . Maladriot , The Blue Album , and Make Believe. Its a damn shame that Cuomo may end the band.

He also says that a Greatest Hits album shouldn't happen without more songs added since he feels Weezer doesn't have enough Hits to do that type of album yet. So thats a little shred of hope he returns and Weezer returns.

He's been speaking that speak since after Pinkerton. I think Weezer'll take a few years off, but I don't think they're done, yet.

What I want to know is what happened to Matt Sharp and The Rentals? They picked up the slack when Weezer was on hiatus.

I like Weezer's songs but I can't stand Rivers. He's so damn weird. He's got an asian girl fetish/obsession that goes beyond creepy. I'm assuming he married an asian chick and that's partly why he's in Japan now. I don't know why, but I get so annoyed with white guys who get so obsessed with asian chicks that they have to marry one and even move to their home country. It's like, dude, you're white. It doesn't matter how many asian chicks you bang or what asian country you live in, you're always gonna be a white boy! LOL. (sorry, just a pet peeve of mine)

I've listened to him in interviews and he's one of the most boring interviews I've ever heard. Again, I like the music but I can't stand him. I hate when singers decide to get all intense and go "find themselves" by moving to Japan or trying a new religion. To me, they just need a good beating. He's just gotten way too intense and annoying for me to take him seriously anymore.
