Ok, I've heard that the All Star books are kinda like the Ultimate Marvel books. Is this true, are the books based in another universe, or are they based in the regular DCU?

They're all stand alone, not part of the main DCU and not releated to each other.

And All Star Batman and Robin hasn't exactly been ... what's the word ... good?
(IMO)

However, All Star Superman is a joy to read. And I've NEVER said that about a Superman book.

Ultimates II may be the best book in mainstream comics and All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder may be the worst book in mainstream comics. SO they are similar in Bizarro World (most overused saying award).

And I feel the opposite. I just dropped Sups after the last issue. I just couldn't get into it, and can't even explaine why. I ain't a Sups fan to begin with. Never cared for the character.
