The hype was for good reason. A few years back in Wizard they spotlighted Teenagers From Mars with their Secret Stash section. Upon reading it I raced out to my then comic book store and put in a request to have all the issues special ordered for me. I was not disappointed. What followed is what I consider my favorite Indy Comic of all time. Rick Spears and Rob G made a super comic about nothing super. It has a lot to do with censorship and the prohibition of comics. Everyone should check this book out.
A little known fact is that somewhere around issue 5 of 8, Rob G almost died when his apartment burned to the ground while he was passed out on the couch. I believe all the work for the then current issue of the series were destroyed and Rob was forced to start that issue over again.
One more little known fact is that Rick and Rob got a rub from DC Comics after TFM. They did a backup story in Detective Comics called, "The Dog Catcher," featuring everyone's favorite smiling psycho, the Joker.
