I have never picked up another SM title besides Amazing, but with the Unmasked storyline going on, I'm thinking about following his other titles as well.
Has anyone bought this? Is it worth it?
I'm kinda expecting a negative answer since no one has posted anything on this.

hey there
i bought the issue myself, and since no one's replied, i thought i would.
i was thinking about dropping the Sensational title after the last story arc, but this whole spiderman unmasked storyline stuff has got me hooked.
it's just too cool seeing how the revelation of his secret identity is affecting the people around him. and in this issue, it's his high school students and doctor octopus. plus the art in the interior is pretty nice, it looks like the same guy that did the Venom/Carnage Mini and the Ghost Rider mini among other comcs.
this whole "spiderman unmasked" banner on the titles has me hooked for at least the next few story arcs. after it's over, i'll have to re-evaluate the title.
i'm even going to continue getting friendley neighbourhood, despite how the last arc is going. the collector in me shouts for me to get what i can for spiderman at this point in marvel history.
hope that helps

its ok but in my opinion Amazing is where it happens for Spidey books , UNMASKED though has me buying them all as a collector :-\

I thought it was a great standalone story. It was nice to see how the unmasking affected the life of someone not in Spider Man's circle, but close to him none the less. Great story, and I loved the art. Also, it was such a great moment to see Otto agonizing about the fact that he didn't kill off Parker when he had the chance.

Yes it truely was great to see good ol' Doc Ock again. You just gotta love them one off stories.

Sensational is probably the best Spidey title out there right now (or at least tied for first with Amazing).
And issue 28 was really good. It really put the whole unmasking in a new perspective.
Definietley worth it.

I really have been down on this series; I didn't like the first arc much at all.
This, on the other hand, was a very well done story. i hope there are more stories of this quality from Mr. Sacasa -- at least until Mr. Loeb takes over. (That's what my sources tell me...)

If you wanna see the REAL good ol' Doc Ock ( ;) ), go pick up THUNDERBOLTS #104.

this issue was really good. I say this book is a "sequel" to The Boy who collects spiderman. I say that because it was just as good as that issue and deserves it place somewhere in the top ten

I personally didn't care for the art, but that's just me. I liked the whole story though. I recommend you get it. On a side note, does anyone know during what issues will the Spidey Unmasked thing be on? And will it be on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man too? Thanks in advance.

I didn't like the previous arc, but this was pretty cool. I got almost a Marvels vibe from it, with the painted art and the everyman perspective.

best spidey title out there at the moment.
it's modern, yet it also has that old school feeling about it, like the melange of villains in the first arc, or the cheesy ending of the lastest issue.
aguirre-sacasa is one of my favourite writers out there, thanks to this and Marvel Knights 4.

I didn't get this issue. :( My supplier didn't see fit to pull a copy for me.
A brick will be the price they pay for their oversight. Oh, yes. A bricky brick indeed.
