BAND SPOTLIGHT

You can check out the band Meldrum via their MySpace page. (http://www.myspace.com/meldrumrocks)

The band is led by ex-Phantom Blue guitarist Michelle Meldrum. (There's 4 sample clips. They are OKAY, but I'm not crazy about the vocals.)

You can check out the band Dareforce on their Myspace page. (http://www.myspace.com/dareforce)

This was the first band for singer David Reece who is back with the band after stints with Accept and Bangalore Choir. (I listened to the four available tracks and thought they sounded pretty good.)

This is a travesty.

Is Strapping Young Lad done? Devin Townsend says YES. (http://www.roadrun.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=54611) The band's drummer says NO. (http://www.roadrun.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=54632)

This sounds too fishy, and seems like a vicious ploy orchestrated, once again, by the metal madman that is Devin Townsend. Truthfully, the guy does need time off.

Due to medical reasons, Testament drummer Louie Clemente is out of the band's current tour dates. He's being replaced by Exodus/ex-Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph. There's no word on when or if Clemente will return.

Sorry, but Louie can stay out.I grew up loving Testament; Bostaph was good on the Live at the Filmore cd, but any opportunity for John Tempesta to rejoin would be a golden one.

How do you think I feel when I read and respond, and then read and respond to other people's responses? These ain't exactly tears of joy. The shades conceal the pain.

Yup. Can't disagree with that review of Inhuman Rampage at all. In fact, after reading that, I felt the need to listen to Through the Fire and Flames. SO good.
