considering "everyone" thinks that Cerebus the Aardvark began to fall apart with the infamous issue 186, did the title lose or gain readers with that issue?
WHY has there not been either a Masterworks or Essential of the Bronze Age Submariner?
Why do people like Gambit?
How many people have been official members of the Fantastic Four?

Why do people like Gambit?
In responce to the above,
I'd ask what do people not like about gambit?
He was one of the most interesting in xmen-TAS and cool in the comics too.
People just feel the need to hate gambit just to be controversial.
i pose the question,Whats not to like?

Lame costume. Lame accent. Lame powers.
BKV was the only guy to make him seem cool, and he had to Ultimize Gambit to do it.

Is there a writer/artist team out there that gels together better than Morrison and Quitely?
(Hell, you may have asked this already. I have a terrible memory for most things.)

It's not controversial to agree with the majority.

What's wrong with his powers?

What's wrong with his powers? In the abstract, nothing. But the card thing got real old, real fast.

As ED points out, it's not the powers themselves, just the execution. The card thing is really lame and tends to break my own suspension of disbelief.
Like I said, BKV really "got" what could make Gambit cool.

My suggestions for questions:
- Where exactly IS Latveria?
- Should buying Onslaught Reborn be illegal when books like Nextwave are being cancelled?
- Are more people waiting for the trade than collecting monthlies now?

It's a comic.
I doubt they could've gotten away with Gambit throwing knives.

That's possibly the weakest argument ever made. Keep in mind, they got away with a guy that pops knives out of his hands and dismembers people.

If the movie had come out first, would Ultimate Spider-Man have mechanical or organic webshooters?
Which Golden Age member of the JSA had the worst costume?
Which of Marvel's 1970s "horror lite" characters (http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=67878970&blogID=143589631) has held up the best?
While I'm at it, which character in the Supervillain Shuffle (http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=67878970&blogID=218867810) benefitted the most from the switch? The least?

It's hard to be sensible sometimes when seemingly everyone in the world bags on a character you like.

Gambit threw a pie, once.
Made me laugh.
It didn't explode, though.

That clinches it. Gambit becomes exponentially cooler when he charges something that isn't a card. Be it pastry, athletic gear, or a big-ass anchor.
Figure out the math on THAT, Curious Cat!

So the verdict is:
Gambit's power? Awesome.
The execution of Gambit's power? Lame.
So let it be written. So let it be done.
Who has the more self-righteous name, Mr. Fantastic or Mr. Terrific?

Does anyone else miss when Spidey would make stuff out of his webbing? Like parachutes, skis, rafts, baseball bats, that sort of thing?

In his first appearances he DID throw knives, or little darts or something. They were like mini harpoons.

How many DC and Marvel characters are as closely associated with a single creator as Captain Carrot is with Scott Shaw!?

oh! ooo! followup question! what would happen if gambit charged and threw cable at rogue? why are there so many 'cat' characters in comics, yet the 'dog' characters are lacking? why is amanda conner so awesome!!???

That would be just vile if Gambit used his power on somebody's athletic cup or jockstrap.

Marvel used to like having their liceansed characters (Conan, Transformers etc) meet their main hereos, but have they ever had their liceansed characters meet their other liceansed characters?
If Ben Grimm was so upset about his apperance, why did the others insist on calling him The Thing? Wouldn't it have helped his ego moe to make HIM Mr. Fantastic?
Exactly how many Christmases have the X-men celebrated anyway?
We all know that when Bruce Banner turns into Hulk, his shirts ripps off and his pants stretch. What about his underwear?
