Soon another historic Marvel marridge will happen, the one of Black Panther and Storm.
Which Marvel couple will be the next one to get married?

Luke Cage and Firestar? He's already married to Jessica Jones! He's her baby daddy!

I hardly see how Storm and BP's marriage is historic. People shouldn't throw that word around so easily as tend people do. :(
Honestly I would not mind seeing Wiccan & Hulklin taking the walk. I like those characters, extremely well done. Hell all of YA is great.

Marvel is throwing those words around and to be honest it is one of the most historic marridges in the Marvel Universe. The biggest so far were of Spidey and Mary Watson and the one of Cyclops & Jean Grey. I think think is a big one too.

I think that's still illegal in New York. Especially with minors. And aliens who probably have no legal rights anyways. Man, that just keeps getting worse and worse.

Luke and Firestar?? Wha?
Cloak and Dagger aren't even a couple, so doubtful.
Hulkling and Wiccan are like 16!
Very.....interesting choices......

Just because Marvel says it is doesn't make it true. Anyway I thought time had to pass before something became "historic" anyway. At least that's what I go from this defnintion.
Main Entry: his·tor·ic
Pronunciation: hi-'stor-ik, -'stär-
Function: adjective
: HISTORICAL: as a : famous or important in history <historic battlefields> b : having great and lasting importance <a historic occasion> c : known or established in the past <historic interest rates> d : dating from or preserved from a past time or culture <historic buildings> <historic artifacts>
This hasn't happen yet. We have no idea if this will have great or even lasting importance. It's not something that has been establish (as if the marriage already happen years ago and we can make a proper judgement if it was historic). Again I still feel the word shouldn't be used to easily, even by Marvel. They can try and play it all they want but doesn't mean what they say about it will be true. Only time will tell and right now it comes off as meaningless and a marketing ploy to save Black Panther.
Spider-man/MJ and Cyclops and Jean were big deals due to the number of people reading those titles. The amount of people reading BP is insignificant compared to the numbers the titles where the other marriages pulled in. More people read about Spider-man/MJ, Cyclops/Jean, Reed/Sue, Luke Cage/Jessica Jones then that will ever read or care about the BP/Storm marrage.

Especially Luke Cage and Firestar. WTF?

I voted for Hulkling and Wiccan. It would be great if they did a story on how gays can't get married. If they are too young then let's see something with Northstar. Sure we would actually have to see him in a relationship first but that's easy enough to fix. Easy enough as in have him in a regular role in a book and in a relationship.
My two roommates are a gay couple. Even though they can't legally get married didn't stop them from having the ceremony. What's funny is that the same day the KKK was in Austin protesting gay marriage.

Couldn't Teddy just turn female long enough for them to get married?

This thread is silly.
I do not know what marridge is but I am familiar with marriage.
Also, the couples in the poll seem like thoroughly bizarre choices.
But, if forced to choose I'd say Cyke and Emma.
I'd like to see that as long as they don't have a child.

Re: Luke Cage and Firestar...
maybe Blackcat got confused because the names are so similar..
Angelica Jones = Firestar
Jessica Jones = Mrs. Luke Cage, Jewel, Knightress

This poll is rigged. How can you put Luke Cage & Firestar? i'm sure people would vote Anj/Vance if they could (even given their current situation)

I agree.
I think it's just a young fan fantasizing.... someone who doesn't know who Jessica Jones is ("Firestar?!")
Personally, I think a marriage between the Black Panther and Storm IS historic, given the legal and royal implications of such a union. This elivates Storm beyond a princess to a QUEEN, and gives her regal ruling status (after T'challa) in the future.
Doubtful if she'll be shaving her hair into a mowhawk again, and her regal bearing will certainly pay off in the future now.
I see this a important for the future storylines... but not necessarily important to fans right now.
Think of the implications... T'Challa and Storm could give shelter to ex-patriot Cap and his followers!

Queen status is nothing compared to the Goddess status she already has. Actually a step down I think.
I'd rather Captain America and his team members go somewhere else honestly. UK or Canada would be a LOT,LOT, LOT better for them.

Cyclops & Emma Frost
analysis: probably not going to happen outside of an X-Men The End story, since Emma's a traitor
Cloak & Dagger
analysis: probably not going to happen since they are more "siblings" than "lovers"
Luke Cage & Firestar
analysis: probably not going to happen but i'd welcome it; only to get rid of that Alias monster
Colossus & Shadowcat
analysis: provided that he doesn't die again, it's possible.
Wiccan & Hulklin (first Marvel gay marridge)
analysis: not during my lifetime
Yellow Jacket & Wasp
analysis: would Jan be that stupid?
She Hulk & Juggernaut
analysis: her and Man-Wolf is more likely. or Pug.

Oooh, that's good! I didn't think of that one....
Still, the mind boggles when you think of the expression, "Wedding night!"
(What does she see in him???:D )
I said Wiccan and Hulkin. Even though they are too young. I can't see Marvel ever breaking up this PC couple. Also when couples break up isn't there usually someone else waiting in the wings? And I doubt very much that Marvel is going to introduce another gay character for either to run off with.
If Cyclops and Emma get married I will never touch another Marvel book again!

Since they don't seem to want to use Northstar they could at least give him a good guy and send him off to Massachueteses to get married and live happily ever after in limbo.
Its the least Marver can do. :p

I don't want to see a Marvel marriage for a while. I liked Luke and Jessica's, and we've got T'Challa and Storm, so we can give it a rest.
Given the options I'd say either Kitty/Piotr or Hulkling/Wiccan. The former makes a lot of sense, provided they get a little more X-posure and not just appear in one title.
As for Hulkling and Wiccan, if they're still together by the time they're 18/early 20's, they could be one of Marvel's strongest couples. I don't see them getting married for some time, though (like...not until after they're promoted to Avengers status).

My guess? Mind slugs convinced a majority of voters that they needed to 'punish' the Liberals by voting in some guy no one really likes all that much. It has to be mindslugs, otherwise I've lost a lot of faith in my fellow Canadians.
So Billy and Teddy may be SOL, being minors by the time they can marry it may be too late. I DOUBT it, but it's possible.

Would the law apply? Technically speaking, Teddy isn't even human, right?
A human marrying a Skrull/Kree hybrid would be in the same legal category as a human marrying an intelligent dog.
Which is still less weird than marrying an android.

I'd go with Peter and Kitty, assuming both survive Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men. With Joss, nothing is guaranteed.
If Dan Slott is given another shot at The Thing(maybe post-Civil War), I'd like to see him write Ben and Alicia's wedding.
Any chance of a post-Civil War reconciliation between Vance Astrovik and Firestar? Or has that ship sailed?
Again depending on how CW shapes up, there's always Captain America and Sharon Carter. They seemed to be getting back together before the Nitro hit the fan.

Hulkling is an alien , but he's been educated in public school , so he must have a faked identity to give him legal status . Gay marriage not being legal aside , they're unlikely to have Hulkling and Wiccan marry because they're only 16! I love them as a couple and hope they stay togather and are active players in the Marvel Universe for a long time to come .
I did vote for Cyclops /Emma because they seem like the most likely couple to marry .Cyclops has been married twice before , so he's the marrying type after all. Plus , if they do get marry it increases the likelyhood of Jean Grey coming back to bust them up !

THE biggest wedding ever was Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. I think it's the only one that's had an anniversary reprint.
Weddings that will definitely have to occur in years to come:
The Thing and Alicia Masters
Colossus and Shadowcat
Also; Some people who probably will never get married [again, if applies]:
Cyclops
Wolverine
Wiccan and Hulking (too risky considering the politics)
Deadpool (;_;)

Though they did a poll concerning the majority of Canada with the census or something asking if they should re-open the 'issue' of gay marriage - and the fairly big majority said no. So yay!

Superman isn't human, hes kryptonian (and posibly an ileagal alien) but he has US citizenship as Clark Kent just as Hulkling does as Teddy Altman.
They also can marry in Massachuteses, or be in a "civil union" in Vermont and Coneticut when they grow up. And so far, I think they Young Avengers should stay young. It might be cool if with Kang they did a timeravel story where they teamed up with their adultselves as Avengers- if maybe a bit too much like the Teen Titans future story. But they could mention that the two are married since in the future people in the MU have gotten over that- afterall Wanda married and Android, Johny storm married a Skrull in the MC2 universe.

Uh, you do realize that...
[SPOILERS!!!]
As of this coming Wednesday, She-Hulk will be married to John Jameson, who will become (apparently permanently) Man-Wolf/Stargod after the following issue.
And since it IS coming this Wednesday, don't include She-Hulk among the candidates for the next marriage after T'Challah and Ororo because Jennifer will have tied the knot first.

I'm not sure I think any of those couples will be getting married, but I love polls! :p
Scott and Emma: (my vote) It would be interesting to see Scott and Emma get married. This pairing has grown on me. They're sexy and dysfunctional, and I like it.
Peter and Kitty: It's too soon for them to marry. They've been apart for a while now, and they need to work on rebuilding their relationship before thinking about getting married.
Billy and Teddy: I don't want to see Teddy and Billy do anything except for be teenagers in love. Let's not rush them down the altar. They're only 16.
Jen and Cain:  No, I can't get on board with this one.
Hank and Jan: I'm back and forth on this one. I love them as a couple, even though they tend to tear at each other emotionally. They have a connection that goes beyond all the pain and heartache. I'd love to see them marry, but for now, I'll put them in the same category as Peter and Kitty. They need to work on rebuilding what they lost.
Jarvis and Aunt May: This would rock my world.
