I've been serious about music since mid-highschool, but in the many years since that point, I have never owned a walkman or personal cd player. About seven months ago I finally bought an Ipod.

I have always been a big fan of walking (I don't even have a car license), and my Ipod has introduced me to a brand new experience that I'm sure all of you take for granted by this point. Basically walking to music.

Lately I've been trying to play songs that fit the weather, my mood, or other conditions as I traverse from place to place. It almost feels like I'm soundtracking my life (at least the walking part), and it can be pretty cool. Does anyone else do this, or am I just a bit nutty?

Every freakin' day. That's what music is all about, living life, experiencing everything it has to offer, so why not turn music into your own personal motivation factor, waiting sound, or running noise.

I've already made a soundtrack to be played at my funeral, and I have one ready just in case I'm forced into a wedding ceremony.

iTunes and my iPod have changed my life. I take my music with me everywhere, all the time. I can plug it into friends' stereos and introduce them to stuff they've never heard before. It's instantly searchable and accessible, and with iTunes, I can (for the most part) by any single song I want, whether an A&R guy put it on a 45 or not. It might just be the invention of the century!
