Are there any mafia based comics in the Independents?

La cosa nostroid from Fireman Press (9 issue series)

It has mafia AND giant robots in it. the story is great and the last issue blew me away (#9), so that I still remember it from time to time although I read it years ago. It´s "The Godfather" of comics :)
