Tomorrow at 11 a.m. PST, The Ship goes live over Valve's Steam distribution system. And I for one can't wait.

It's been awhile since I've been excited about a new PC game, let alone a first person shooter. The Ship, however, is one of the most unique games I’ve seen.

So what about this game makes me wet myself in anticipation? Well, it’s basically an assassin game set aboard a luxury 1920s cruise ship. Each player is assigned a quarry whom they must eliminate with any number of weapons, ranging from Tommy guns to kitchen knives. But each player is also being hunted…

The game goes a step further by introducing a “needs” system, similar to the one in The Sims. Your character must use the bathroom, eat, drink, socialize, etc. or suffer a mental breakdown. The needs system is a genius way to a.)discourage campers b.)provide ample opportunities to kill (or be killed).

You can’t kill your target on first sight, either. If a guard or security camera spots you with a weapon, you’ll be fined and sent to the ship’s brig for a short time. So you’ve got to carefully stalk your prey and kill them at just the right moment.

I was getting tired of twitchy FPS games. It's about time that I have one where you can take your time and strategize. Plus the game's just so damn unique.

If anyone else plans on playing, drop me a PM. I’d love to bludgeon you to death while you’re using the bathroom…in the game of course. :D

It looks cool but 20 bucks for it? Thats to much for me for just that. Besides after a week I wouldnt last 5 minutes, Id be crowded behind a guard or infront of a camera along with the 100 other people so I dont get ganked soon as I walk out in the hall or something.

I dont like source engine anyway, its a pain to get my mouse configured with it just right, its always way to fast. Oh and I hate steam to, but so much as the fact how valve runs it.

Hell the site is already talking about ship 2 coming out so maybe later Ill try it.

I like the idea though, kinda cool sounding.
