Milton Knight follows with a wacky turn with a suitably wacky tale, “Never Bet the Devil Your Head.” I never knew Poe was that funny!!

If you want to explore more of Poe's sense of humour, might I recommend "The Man That Was Used Up - A Tale Of The Late Bugaboo And Kickapoo Campaign", "Some Words With A Mummy", and "The System Of Dr. Tarr And Prof. Fether". Poe had quite the sense of humour when he put his mind to it.

I think the other ones were Metzengerstein (starring Brigitte Bardot, IIRC) and William Wilson. They were all pretty well done, or at least seemed so when I saw this on TV as a kid. I think Fellini might have directed 'Head,' which, again IIRC, strayed considerably from its source material, but was still extremely effective.
