Does anyone know if they have made an adapter where you can play DS games on the Gamecube?

No they haven't made one, but if you ask me such a thing is an inevitable add on for the Nintendo Wii. Think about it; Nintendo is advertising the Wii and the DS as their driving force for the next generation, so those two systems are going to be working together. Chances are you'll see a DS player in which you don't put the cartridge into the Wii, instead you just wirelessly link the DS itself with the Wii, and it lets you see the action on your TV while you still use the DS touchscreen for its functions.
All theory, mind you, but a likely thing in my opinion.

Not very likely. We know the DS and Wii will connect wirelessly but wireless streaming of video is not likely. Plus using the touch screen while looking at the TV wouldn't be intuitive at all.

The Wii is going to have a internet browser on it. It should be able to stream video. Here is an article about all the wii/ds connectivity stuff http://ds.ign.com/articles/716/716778p1.html
