I've been an Anthrax fan since Fistfull Of Metal and I loves me some old school metal and the reunited Belladonna Anthrax crank it out last night.

Having been a huge Bush era Anthrax fan since 1993(90 % of my Anthrax bootlegs are from 1993-2002) I really haven't heard the whole Among The Living album/cd in years since I jam on Return Of The Killer A's in the car on & off every week.

It was great to hear the Among The Living album done in its entirety ,almost.(They only played a few minutes of Imitaion Of Life before going into Got The Time).

Anthrax haven't played Houston since 2002 and the near sold out crowd last night showed the band how much they missed them by singing loud & proud with every song and getting a big ass moshpit going especially during Skeleton In The Closet.

Onstage the band looked to be enjoyong themselves and seemed very pleased with the crowd reactions and Joey Belladonna even reached out , grabbed cameras from the fans and took pitures of the band and crowd.

I was really hoping to see the band with John Bush one last time but last night's show was an excellent substitute , Joey Belladonn sound much better than I thought he would and I thought they would play Madhouse but I'm glad they didn't do I'm The Man, it might have brought down the metal mood.

Anthrax is currently opening for Rob Zombie but are playing headling shows on off nights for that tour.
Check them out if you get the chance.

A year from now you're going to see Joey Belladonna on a street corner holding a sign that says "Will sing 'Caught in a Mosh' for food."

I used to be an Anthrax fan. Then they dumped John Bush and Rob Hardnametospell so they could think it was 20 years ago, back when they still liked Belladonna and Danny Spitz.

Now I wouldn't go see them if they were playing for free in my backyard.

I saw them two nights ago. It was a great show, but I've seen them three times with John Bush, and those were some intense gigs.

John Bush definitely owned when he took over as frontman. I'd been listening to Anthrax since Among the Living, and my favorite albums are definitely from the Bush era.

Unfortunately, Belladonna's their only option since Bush quit. Now he's full time with Armored Saint again.

They've been touring with Belladonna for a year now, if they were going to record new music with him they would have announced it by now. The band (more specifically Scott Ian and Charlie Benante as they were the only two members still with Anthrax when this reunion started) are fucked. I am damn curious what happens when this reunion loses steam. Maybe then they'll realize dumping John Bush was a stupid thing to do.

At the show that I saw, Scott Ian said that there would be a new Anthrax album either in the fall or early next year.

The only one that seemed to be bored was Dan Spitz. Everyone else was having a ball.

And they didn't dump Bush. They asked him to tour with them, but he declined, saying he'd rather be with the family. Problem is, the reunion tour was only supposed to last a few months, but the money was coming in like they hadn't seen in a long time, so they kept extending and extending it. Finally, Bush took himself out of the equation, making their decision for them. He's touring with Armored Saint right now.

That is a band that I wouldn't mind having a new album from.

Yeah, having Anthrax take him back is the best thing that has happend to Joey Belladona.

John Bush is a much better front man,IMO.

I heard Armored Saint were playing some European Festivals soon.

True. Neil Turbin is still the best of the 3.
AS will be playing the States as well. A 3 band bill, I cant remember the other bands rite now.

Regardless who you think is the better frontman its hard to deny that Anthrax's popularity peaked during the Belladona years, right now with the current reunion thing going on in the Metal scene among a lot of older bands its not surprising that Anthrax wanted to get in on it too. And I prefer it that way, cause now I have Bush's vocals on Armored Saint and Belladona's stuff with Anthrax at the same time. Look forward to new material from both bands.
