We pick up a little bit after last issue (and the GIANT SIZE HULK book). Hulk and his team are on the run from the Imperial forces, and make their way to what is effectively Meik's hometown.
This is basically Meik's issue. We get his origin story and his reason for hating the Red King, and we see him fight the man who killed his father. In the bargain, he also rescues the surviving members of his race and (presumably) adds them to Hulk's forces.
In terms of our big green star, we see him easily survive one Imperial trap and avoid another, and he's the one who finally figures out what's going on with Miek's duel.
All in all, decent one-shot issue. Next issue promises a big throw-down with the Imperials, so that should be fun.

Yeah, great issue.
It's a good thing the Planet Hulk Handbook comes out in two weeks, 'cause a month is too long to wait for more Planet Hulk goodness.

Great read. I'm lovin the Hulk more now than ever!
Quick question though peoples. Were the "animals" that the head guy was telling his kid that needed to be watched over and fed Mieks relatives? Cause the part when they all came out the ground confused me a little bit. Also, at the end they show them sitting in piles of rubble. Is this because Hulk and the rest of the guys completely tore the town up??

Another good issue and the art is amazing. I think it would be cool if they somehow tied Miek with anhillius since he is sporting the bug look.

Oh man. The Imperials are SERIOUSLY underestimating Hulk if they thought those fire bombs were going to do jack to him. And those who underestimate Hulk get Smashed.

We also get another mention of The Hulk's anger about being betrayed by Earth's heroes.
It was before Miek was going to fight the man that did horrible things to his people. Miek asked The Hulk what he would do.
"I'd never stop making them pay."
Yikes... I want that big story... right now...
(But this issue was pretty cool too.)

Yeah, pretty much. Miek thought his peeps had been wiped out, and when they heard the cry, Hulk ripped open the ground, freeing them. Notice that when he ripped it open, the leader was trying to say it was only the sounds of the animals. Afterwards we can assume that they dusted the place because he didn't even attempt to free Miek's people, and was going to let Miek kill him without letting him know they were still alive.

I´m gonna get the Planet Hulk arcs in Tpbs but so far nothing´s announced.
Anybody knows if they´re planning to release one big Hardcover?

When Hulk gets back to Earth, Reed, Tony, Stephen, and Nick would be well advised to make their funeral arrangements.
Meanwhile, I will buy next month's issue, in order to see Hulk smash.

I was going to wait on the TP/HC too but they may not be released for a long time, or at all, so I started with #92. Hulk has deserved a spectacular run like this for a while now. When Hulk comes back to earth, the $&@% is really gonna hit the fan. I wonder who's coming back with him...

I think what'll happen is that Hulk will turn out to be both the Sakaarson and the Worldbreaker. He'll unite Sakaar and save it from itself, then lead an army back to Earth, but in doing so leave the planet unguarded and open for destruction.
Miek cutting off his own arm to get at his attacker...nuff said.

Yea i cant wait. I mean I have no clue what the writers are going to write but I think Hulk is going to cause some serious damage. And if he brings the crew hes with now good luck to the heroes on Earth. I mean the look on his face and that quote = bad news.

Glad they did the Miek issue. Helps get rid of the JarJar Complex he had going early on for good. Another astounding issue.

Excellent book. I've always liked Miek. For a little bug he has a lot of bravery and pride. And he's so wonderfully lovable.:)

I was totally thinking that while reading this issue...
I've got a kick out of Miek from the beginning, but now I have a newfound respect for him. I definitely see him being an important player in the upcoming battles throughout this storyline.
Planet Hulk is definitely a story I cannot get enough of.

Planet Hulk is by far the best Hulk storyline for this decade.

Got my issue a week late but have to mention that this series just keeps getting better. Great writing, great art, better than I thought it would be, each month.
I think what'll happen is that Hulk will turn out to be both the Sakaarson and the Worldbreaker. He'll unite Sakaar and save it from itself, then lead an army back to Earth, but in doing so leave the planet unguarded and open for destruction.
I agree with the first part of this, but I think the destruction will occur during Planet Hulk - i.e., it'll be why he returns to Earth, because there is no more Sakaar. I don't think they'd have a storyline occurring on Sakaar while the Hulk isn't there. But the series has plenty of surprises, so you never know.

Incredible issue. Hulk's line, "I'd never stop making them pay," gave me chills.
I think this is Marvel's best book right now.
