What is this school you speak of?:confused: Everything I learned about history I learned from Highlander the TV Series. In watching the show I have also the learned that while England, and America can boast independence days unlike your people that has en entire history of getting pwned.:p


Moving on there is an interesting duality about The Revolution war that has always fascinated me. America won that war by using gorilla tactics against the English who were fighting a conventional mindset of thinking in terms of two front lines going at it, and the country with the least amount of casualties and most amount of land wins the war. The irony thus becomes apparent because America has been unable to win wars against countries using guerrilla tactics because they are fighting using the logic of the enemies that they beat with gorilla warfare. Fascinating that.

My family and I lit fireworks as well. The kids picked them out and I took two one was called Wildcat and the other was called Jade Flower. We had the kind of bottle rockets that after they explode up in the air a little man with a parachute falls to the ground. It was all very cool.

I'm feeling particularly patriotic as I have just discovered that apparently NO ONE in my family on either side was born outside the US since something like 1650. AND I'm eligible to join the DAR! My great X 5 grandfather served in the Revolutionary War. Whee!

My father is also excited about this, as all he knew of our family history was the coal miners, moonshiners, and horse thieves. We rock!

Got out at 9 tonight, made it just in time to get on my roof for the finale of the National Fire Works off the national mall.

It was a really good view, though.

That's a shame Aggie. I visited Philly and found alot of great things to do and see there. But... I guess... it's like anywhere... if you LIVE there.. it's "not so much"... but if you visit.. you seek out things to validate the "tourist" inside.

I enjoyed it though... some really interesting things for someone like myself (a lover of history) to see.
