Happy Birthday David, I was going to get you a top selling, beautifully illustrated, critically applauded comic book, but you already have one.
Many happy returns

Happy Birthday! The mice left this here for you (don't look at the back, though - Saxon couldn't resist and took a considerable chunk out of it):

Thank you very much to everyone!
We celebrated on Saturday. A group of my friends whom I have not been able to see in quite a while, were able to come down and spend the day playing board games (We played Cathedral, Magic, Tower (a game of my own design), and more magic). I love playing these types of games and miss spending time with these guys, so it was a great present to be able to do that again.
Sunday we spent with each of my parents (I hadn't made it u to my Dad's for Father's Day, so we combined it with my birthday). Found some massive anthills at my Moms and attacked them with a stick until she brought over a long weeding tool. Wow what a lot of ants...I am afraid her foundation could be at risk from their excavation alone!!...
I got a few DVDs: Superman I & II, StarWars I & II. Also got Wierd Vol1 (yay Rick's pinup!!!!!). Julia got Sirus satellite radio installed in my car, because I have an hour commute to work and the Detroit stations have me wanting to swerve into other cars...jeez the drivel they broadcast. I'm most excited about an olde-time radio station on Sirus that plays old radio dramas!!!!
Today has been a relax day. Trying to catch up on some Mouse Guard work and not wander out to my car just to listen to 200 stations of non Detroit drivel
Thanks to all who made the weekend great, and that includes all you folks who passed along wonderful wishes and awesome images. Hello 29!

Hello 29!UG! Not even 30! You are but a wee bairn yet.
Glad to hear you had such a great weekend. I'm also glad to hear that your freeway swerving habits will be corrected by the next time I visit. Boy, your Detroit-drivel-inspired driving nearly made me wet my pants last time!

Yer gonna luv the Sirus radio.
Great music stations and, of course, Howard.
NPR on the weekends plays "Wait, Wait. Don't tell me." which
I had never heard before getting satellite radio.
And if ya think its great for your commute, just wait till ya
take trips and don't have to station-hunt.

I'm sorry I missed your day, but I didn't even look at a PC yesterday. It sounds like you had a great day, which is my wish for you always, not just your BDay. When I get a chance, I'll raise a glass to your health.

Some of us (me) turn 43 this year. Too much Mountain Dew and Creatures On The Loose in the 70's have turned me into a tired, grey haired man.
Happy B-Day DP

Anyone else on this thread who was born before the Beatles broke up*, please join us out back for slow-pitch shufflepuck, pinochle, Viennese waltzing, and giving a good what-for to a pinata shaped like John Wilkes Booth. Also, whoever left their dentures in a highball glass after last night's Bingopalooza, please pick them up at the Guest Services Desk. We'll be serving corn on the cob tonight.

Thank you to all the folks who jumped in on this! I appreciate it.
as for the age rift..I used to say "Age only has anything to do with when your parents were both interested at the same time"....but now I realize, that it does have more meaning than that...it's something that can be held over the heads of those younger than you, for being naive and foolish, and those older than you for being crotchety and creaky.
oh...did I mention I finished off the cake??
