Cyclops: What did the kids inherit from their pop?

So Cyclops has two kids (that I know of): Rachel and Nathan?

What traits do you think they picked up from Scott? Do you they seem really similar or different?

Rachel seems to have inherit Scott's taciturn nature. Both Scott and Rachel have sometimes made it seem like the weight of the world rested on their shoulders.

I'm not so sure about Cable. He really hasn't seemed as much like Scott to me. The decision to make him Cyke's son transported to the future was a little funky to me.

And it skeeves me out a bit that he chooses to go by Nathan. I mean, when the kid was with X-Factor, they always called him by his middle name, Christopher (after his grandfather Corsair). Calling him Nathan (after Mister Sinister) seems incredibly creepy.

Agreed about Rachel's serious nature. I think they're all solid serious people for the most part with great leading potential. Not to mention powerful as you like.

They definitely inherited his leadership ability and serious nature.

Powerwise? Nothing as far as I can tell. But who knows? Depending on which explanation for his powers that you accept... Maybe their ramped up telekinesis is due in part to his force emitting abilities (going by the 'He creates the beam' theory). Or maybe their latent ability to teleport through time/space comes from him, since Jean wasn't a teleporter without the Phoenix (going by the 'His eyes are interdimensional apertures to some non-Einsteinian universe' theory).

I thought the Siniter's obession with the Summers bloodline was because Summers DNA enhances the X-gene. So the powers aren't hereditary, but putting a little Summers baby brew in the pot cinches you at least an Alpha.

I think that Rachel is a leader, not sure about tactician part, but she definitely has a quick with. She is a lot like Jean, very passionate and caring at the same time. She can be stubborn too.Cable-Nathan (as Caliban used to call him) is definitely a born leader, the type to take charge, and he has/had a violent streak that I think came from Maddie, but he keeps it in check due to his Askani training....which ironically came from his sister Rachel.
But the Summers family has always been strong in leadership:

Corsair-Leader of the StarJammers

Scott-Leader of the X-Men

Alex-Was Leader of X-Factor, and the MutantX team of X-Men

Vulcan-Leader of his group of X-Men

Cable-Leader of Six-Pack, X-Force/the other team in Weapon X (or was the team called WeaponX? I forget)

I think Rachel and Nate inherited their dad's penchant for the dramatic, as opposed to Jean's penchant for losing her temper/mind.

Scott can be so over dramatic sometimes that its laughable and so can Rachel and Nate. Its kinda cute when u think about it.

I don't think that counts anymore. IIRC, according to "Here Comes Tomorrow", Nate and Rachel high level of telepathy and telekinsis come from the fact that they're Jean/Maddies children. From what I remember of the story, Jean's blood alone can enhance a persons power to almost Phoenix-like levels.

I'm no longer sure Scott's genes are even need in the mix now.
