You know the hyper-realistic CG a la 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children'? Wouldn't it be cool if Marvel produced straight to DVD films of their latest story arcs done in this style? Some time after the last civil war or planet hulk issue comes out, they can do a really really cool looking version of that story which would give it a whole new perspective. I know I'd spend money for that! Somebody from Marvel please read this! :)

That is all.

I'd rather see them stick to more traditional animation, like they did with Ultimate Avengers. :)

Yeah, from what I know (which isn't a great deal, but is some) that kind of animation is not easy or cheap. We may be reaching the point where the pure processing power is in reach of a small studio, but a movie like Advent Children (which I saw not long ago - a bit simplistic in plot, but pretty stylish visually, worth seeing) needs every character modelled and animated, usually with a lot of manual work creating key frames, or motion capture; every landscape, building, room, vehicle and prop needs to be designed and textured; every visual effect has to be created, which is just as much work as it is in a live action film; plus there's other costs like voice actors, scripting and storyboarding, licensing and distribution... it's a job of work.

I like 'photo-realistic' CG, but I'm equally happy with conventional animation, especially with the trend towards merging traditional and computer-assisted 2D/3D techniques. I happened to see an episode of a cartoon called Dragon Booster a while back - the team behind their animation could produce a pretty neat-looking Marvel movie, stylish in its own right, impressive in its scope and technical capabilities, and respectful of the predominant style in comics.

I'd like to see an animated mini-series simliar to what was done with the Star Wars: Clone Wars on the cartoon network, but based on the Civil War. Several five minute episodes collected seemlessly on a DVD.

Done in this style, yes - as long as you're talking about the computer tools used to create the movie. If by "style" you refer to the kind of simplistic and emotionless characterisation, clumsy plotting, stilted, clunky dialogue and incoherent visual storytelling used in the "Advent Children", my answer is "no".
