I'm not sure if this is even worthy of saying it's a spoiler but, Wolverine catches up with Nitro and the dude does his explosion thing again. He incinerates everyone including Wolverine. I mean, Wolverine is completely incinerated except for his adamantium. Guts, insides, everything. But, somehow the dude regenerates after a few minutes. WTF? Is this possible? Is Marvel really pushing the envelope with this? Now I'm supposed believe that even when reduced to a skeleton Wolverine can regenerate in just a couple of minutes? Well, I'm thinking that this is my last Wolverine book I'm gonna read. What say you fellow comic geeks?:p

Read the thread about the issue, this is being discussed.
No, Wolverine should have been dead from what happened in that issue. It's always been stated that a severe loss of body tissue, organs, and even blood would kill Wolverine. That's why he used to actually get hurt and need time to heal if he had his throat slashed or his gut opened up. Now he's a total twink depending on the writer, and frankly it's just another reason why I won't read a solo book that stars him.

What's wrong with the Wolverine #43 thread dude?
It's already being discussed there.

The writer of that series was te first to incinerate Wolverine to his bones and have him reanimate. I know Marvel has varied his healing factor's speed, but this is that fastest in canon regen I have witnessed. Who knows? Maybe he just had a Red Bull?

Well, he flew into the sun with Jean Grey in Grant Morrison's New X-Men. But that was later cleared up when Wolverine clarified that Jean brought him back to life.

When did he say Jean brought him back to life? What issue?

I don't recall off hand, and I'm not going to dig through hundreds of issues to find it. :)

If you mean X-Men # 150, that isn't what happens.
Jean does not bring him back from the dead.
He does that himself.

No, I mean when they come back out of the sun. Wolverine states in an issue after that, not sure which one, that Phoenix brought him back to life. It was meant to clear up him regenerating after being in the sun.

Did she bring him back to life or just save him from burning up? I remeber what you are talking about but I thought she stopped them from actually dying when she became the Phoenix?
Although having just looked at issue 150 the opening line is jean asking him if his eyes have grown back.

I didn't say that he says it in New X-Men.
It was another book later on, where he says it. I believe it was either to Rachel or Storm. It was meant to clarify that he didn't regenerate from the sun, but that Jean saved him and brought him back to life.

Oh.
Well I don't believe you until you prove it.
And 'The End' doesn't count.

Thank you man. Thank you so much. After reading all the posts I just started laughing out loud. Comedy gold all the way. Your responses to this thread are hilarious.:D
Although as Sentinal said, I am pretty sure it didn't happen either. I don't recall him ever saying Jean brought him back to life.

Well, just because you haven't read it or don't remember it... doesn't mean it didn't happen. I know there was even a discussion on here about the exchange.

Well the same could be said for you. Just cause you think you remember it, doesn't mean it actually happened.

Ok, so, like, 4 weeks ago, Marvel time, Wolverine gets stabbed in the stomach. He then has to eat his own arm in order to not die, and after doing so, he passes out for hours.
Now, every bit of flesh & blood gets blown off him leaving only the skeleton and he regenerates easily. Shouldn't he have had to find every scrap of hi blown flesh, tissue and blood he could find in the vicinity and eat that, not to mention a couple of toddlers, in order to survive this? And with this, let's not forget, that he'd have to stay unconscious while healing for a good 3 or 4 days.
