Not sure how many of you guys play video games, but if you do, go on over to www.ign.com and check this game out. For those of you that have played the excellent x-men legends games, you should be excited, as this game seems to be modelled after that same formula, of taking 4-man teams and being able to use all their powers for fun and exciting gameplay. The ability to upgrade their abilities ala RPG adds a ton of depth to the game as well. The game is sporting a huge cast, villians and heros from the marvel universe, with many characters not even revealed yet. This is a fanboys dream!! Do yourself a favor and grab a copy when it hits shelves. And anyone who finds out anything new or exciting about this game, post it in here for all to enjoy.

The story seems very interesting. It has Doctor Doom forming the new Masters of Evil to help him steal Odin's God like power. I be the firstin line to get this baby.

I like what they are doing with this game and all, but at some point, Marvel needs to stop making games using the X-Men Legends format.
Personally, I'd love to play a game that truly glorifies being a Superhero. You know, something along the lines of Spiderman 2 or Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, but with more characters, better side-missions and subplots. The gameplay for those two games were already fine.
With this new console generation, I'd love to see a team-oriented game (X-Men, Thunderbolts, or Avengers) with a gameplay similar to Spiderman 2 or Hulk: UD.

You could get to put the two teams against eachother for one thing and get many different paths to chose from.

Does anyone know if Iron Man is a playable character? You think he would be, but I haven't seen him in any promo vids or previews...

He hasn't been confirmed yet but its most likely that they will after they put him in Xmen Legnds II.

I agree we need more comic hero games like SM 2 and Hulk, where you really feel like the hero.
But for a team game, I don't think you can touch the way Marvel Legends plays. At least when you have 4 playable characters on the screen at once.

I'd LOVE it if they'd include a create-a-hero mode that's as deep as Yuke's wrestling games.

I dunno about Iron Man- I imagine he'll be playable, but the July issue of Game Informer has a small write up on it... based on the pictures, Spidey, Captain America, Thing, Ghost Rider, Blade and Elektra are among the 20 (or more) playable characters. Thor and Wolverine were also confirmed.
And... "you will be able to create, name and power-up your own team of superheroes from scratch throughout the game"
which totally rocks.
