Hi Tony,

What is with Sabretooth getting his butt handed to him all the time? The Maestro I can understand but Torro made him look like an idiot. Can we look forward to some serious Sabretooth butt kicking soon? Will you address why Blink now calls him "Victor"? Lastly, will we see Sabretooth confront Weapon X from the AOA reality? Thanks for your time Tony!

You arn't entitled to an answer. For one, it may give away the story for future issues. Creed gets his butt kicked for the same reason that Wolverine does. So he can heal and come back to kick some arse. Not only that, the AoA Sabretooth isn't quite as violent and bloodthirsty as the 616 one. And not to mention, everyone in the Exiles gets beaten and battered constantly. As for why Blink is calling him Victor now? The passing of the torch I'd assume. She's the leader now and she's asserting her leadership over the team. I doubt they'll be dropping back to the AoA reality anytime soon. In fact, I hope they forget any established realities for a while. The World Tour was great, but it dragged on. Can't wait to see some fresh all-new all-different realities. :)

I'm not saying that I'm entitled to an answer to my question but if he didn't feel comforable answering I thought it would be polite for a "wait and see" or something.

Every once in a while, I don't get to every one. I actually read your original post in the midst of doing something else, decided I needed more time to properly answer, and then just never got back to it. It's no excuse, you deserve more consideration than that, but, hey, sometimes I just plain drop the ball.

Sabretooth hasn't gotten enough chances to shine because at any given time I'm juggling a LOT of priorities on this book. I have six characters to introduce, a whole new status quo and conflict with each story arc, new villains, etc -- and with all that exposition and all those characters to service, Sabretooth has probably gotten shortchanged. However, your original message actually spurred me to give Victor more stuff to do in the upcoming arcs that Pelletier is drawing right now (issues 85-88). So despite my silence, your post actually influenced the stories themselves.

We won't be visiting the AoA universe, and Blink called him "Victor" when she was asserting her leadership of the group. It showed that she was speaking to him at least as an equal, rather than as a foster-daughter or pupil or whatever.

And Toro made Sabretooth look bad because if the foes/villains/opponents don't get in a few licks, they won't pose much of a threat. Not an especially satisfying moment for you, of course, but I had to show that the Young Allies were at least somewhat capable.

Thanks for signing up and buying my books, Exiled. I really am embarrassed about leaving you hanging.

I wasn't trying to be rude. I just saw other posts beings answered and I thought maybe I had said something in my posts that you didn't agree with or something. Thanks for your time Tony and I am honored that my little rant could influence you to do more with a character like Sabretooth. Your work really entertains me. I buy two issues of Exiles every month to show others and the trades that come out. Exiles is my favorite title right now. Thanks for your patientince and for putting up with my rant.!:)
