Hi all

Well i'll be comic book hunting soon, and I was wondering if you could recommend me some issues.
Mignola is my main goal here, so of course new Conan and i'm wanting some Gotham by Gaslight? issues... erm, i'm gonna be taking this seriously as i'm quite new to actually collecting comic books, I also want some Spawn i'm wanting the Spawn/Batman issues, anyone know when thats gonna be released? or are ther past issues I should look into?
are the Constantine comics worth buying? loved the film, haha.

thanks
sorry if I seem too much a newb.

If you looke for Constantine comics, you'll find the movie adaptation maybe and that's it. Look for Hellblazer, the comic that the movie's based on. They're great and the entire run is in trade paperbacks.

Gotham by Gaslight was a one-shot, single issue story...although the collected one coming out has another non-mignola story attached to it. If you can find the original cheap, go for it.

You may have to hunt for the Mignola/Conan cover since it only came 1 per 5 comics (I think that's what was posted in the Conan thread). Hopefully you do find it.

Do you have The Amazing Screw-On Head yet? Look for that, too. You won't be disappointed.

Don't forget the Savage Land story that Mike drew from a Walt Simonson script. Wolverine in the Savage Land, great T-Rex shots in the book along with Apocalypse and Sauron (Ithink). Also, try to find the original Rocket Racoon mini-series from Marvel for some fun early Mike and if you like fantasy, track down the Fafhrd and Grey Mouser stories Mike drew and don't forget my all time fave Mike Moorcock character, Corum. Mignola drew 2 mini-series in the 80's for First comics.

Damn I'm old...

Those Corum issues don't do much for me. Anything with Mike's older pre-Fahfrd, pre-Gotham by Gaslight, pre-Cosmic Odyssey I really don't even bother with...although I do have those Corum issues because I used to be a completist nut bag. :)
