Just wondering how many times Hawkeye (Clint Barton) has died and/or been brought back to life. I'm especially interested in how he came back after the Kree-Skrull War. Thanks in advance.

Does dying and then coming back in the same storyline count?

Hawkeye (actually Goliath) didn't die in the Kree-Skrull Wars. He was just missing and presumed dead - he eventually wandered back on his own, dressed in a new and particularly horrible costume and accompanied back by Hercules...

But a list of deaths:

1. The Korvac Saga, along with the rest of the Avengers.
2. WCA #21 (maybe?) The WCA arc in Egypt - you get the feeling he died and came back to life at the behest of Konshu, although it's iffy.
3. Avengers 502
4. House of M

What am I missing, I'm pretty sure there is one more...

I don't think the Onslaught/Heroes Reborn thing counts.

He's back as of House of M#8...

Well, the original poster asked about "deaths" - and, unless we've read interviews with writers and editors, nothing that's happened IN a comic tells us for sure he's not dead. It just kinda sort looks that way, what with the costume and the article pinned to the wall of the ruined mansion....

It doesn't matter to me, deaths, presumed deaths, MIA's, I just want to know. And thanks a lot to everyone so far, keep 'em coming!

If dying within the same story arc counts, I guess you could say he died during Infinity Gauntlet, and I think he also died during Infinity War. And Marvel Universe: The End.

By the way, it's Phoenix.

yeah, I realised that not to long ago but I guess it's just too late now. I've been using the name like this for a while now, not just here at CBR but at other places too, and I think I'll keep using it this way forever. :p
